JUST BOOK IT!! I wish I could live at Palazzo Angelica! It is exquisitely beautiful, peaceful and extraordinarily well appointed. Our room, bed and linens were wonderful, and we loved opening our street-facing window and watching daily life in this tiny Puglian town.
What truly makes Palazzo Angelica special is the hospitality. Roberto personally welcomed us, then sat with us in the beautiful courtyard with a map and shared his recommendations for beaches, restaurants and local experiences. He poured us wine from Castello Frisari, the small winery he founded with his brother Carlo, focused on expressing Salento through Negroamaro. Sitting in the courtyard drinking wine our host helped create while hearing his story was one of those moments when we thought, this is one of the most unique and special moments of our trip.
Breakfast is astonishing. Lucia prepared an incredible spread of fresh pastries, eggs and delicious vegetables—artichokes, carrots and roasted eggplant—along with amazing cappuccinos. We came home thinking differently about breakfast!
The courtyard and pool are gorgeous and wonderfully quiet. I spent several afternoons during il riposo reading beside the pool. Giurdignano is a fantastic base for exploring Otranto, the beaches and Salento while experiencing life in a small Puglian town.
If you're considering Palazzo Angelica, stop looking and book it. We would return in a heartbeat. I still wish I could live there!

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Palazzo Angelica - a wonderful traditional property recently restored to the very highest standards. The whole palazzo is a really special place, designed with great love, thought and care. Our bedroom was large with high, vaulted ceilings. Our own private terrace a delight. We particularly enjoyed talking to Roberto and Paolo on several occasions at breakfast about the history of the palazzo. Breakfast served by Lucia alongside the garden and pool was always excellent. This was a place to relax and unwind. We were so glad that we experienced our stay here and we were sad to leave.

Nicely renovated palazzo, very nice, spacious rooms. Excellent bath, high quality bed. Very nice relaxing and lounging areas around the pool. Friendly host and very welcoming atmosphere. Location is convenient for beaches in the area and Otranto, parking is nearby.
Rooms could feature a coffee machine; no options to hang wet towels and swimming clothes in the room and outside. Restaurant recommendations were not always reliable.
