Oliver and the staff were extremely welcoming and quickly responded to every request of ours. The breakfasts were made to order and were a great example for us of typical Kenyan breakfasts. This is a good choice for a budget stay in Kisumu, outside of the noisy center of town.
I was surprised how small the garden was, given the name of the location. That said, the garden was well cared for and had beautiful plants to look at. We would have appreciated more quality fixtures: the bathroom door didn't shut, the toilet was cracked, the shower wasn't always warm.

Large room with seating for watching TV and large bathroom.
Very comfortable bed.
I chose the room with balcony which was also large with windows all the way round.
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Lovely breakfast - plenty of choice.
Walking distance to Impala Sanctuary and Lake Victoria.

- Large, clean and comfortable room
- Very friendly and helpful people
- Excellent breakfast, prepared individually after asking for preferences the day before
- Night security in the surrounding area, which felt reassuring
- A bit outside the city center, motorbike taxi or minibus needed
