Very charming, historical, water front hotel with shopping and food within walking distance. The on-site restraunt and breakfast café were delicious. Loved seeing the history in pictures on the walls. If you're looking to step back in time and enjoy a slower pace this is the place and town. We enjoyed our stay and hope to be back.

The Lafayette Hotel is in a historic building. The furniture and artwork is reminiscent of an establishment at the turn of the century. It was clean, relatively quiet, and had the amenities that I needed. Don't stay there if you want modern, new, and bright.
The staff was friendly and helpful. It's a great location to walk to the farmer's market, multiple establishments, and the College.

The location is excellent and it is a stately old school hotel. The best part was no need for the gym stairmaster since the elevator was not working you got to climb the hotel stairs. Overall a great place and we'll definitely stay there again.
