A beautiful setting in a lovely cottage. The only issue we had was that in cottage number one there is an apartment above, and you could hear the footsteps. Also, even though the communication with the host was very efficient, all email with 90% automated answers,, we never got to meet him and visit with him about things to do and places to go.

I was overall disappointed with the experience as I felt the listing was not as transparent as I typically find on VRBO. It generally felt misleading to me. The “cottage” is actually a first floor unit with an upstairs unit that is also occupied by someone else potentially. We had upstairs neighbors our entire 5 night stay. There is also another cottage directly behind this one. It seems this other cottage also shares the fire pit/adirondack chair area and the grill (the grill is located in a patio area in between the two cottages). I didn’t realize from the listing that I would be sharing these areas with other guests but maybe I somehow missed that. We had hoped to sit in the adirondack chairs under the tree to enjoy a sunset outside but the other family in the cottage right behind ours got there first. The front porch with rocking chairs faces a large house in very close proximity with only a small parking area separating the two. We had 3-4 cars including ours parked out front of the cottage the whole stay. This is a very clean property with welcoming snacks upon arrival but not private or secluded at all. I would not return and would have booked other accommodations had I known what I know now.
