The tree-lined cottage road soon lets you know that you are definitely at the cottage, although the town is close by and easily accessible when you need it. Little Lake is not well known, generally lost in the shadow of the much larger Georgian Bay, but it offers its own special cottage vacation. Stepping into the cottage, the open concept living, kitchen and dining areas open up before you, all enjoying a wonderful lake panorama. A walkout takes you onto a wonderful deck where the views and breezes are second to none. The main bedroom and bath are on this level as well. The lower level include 2 bedrooms, a 3-piece bathroom and a family room (a perfect place to enjoy board games or a good book) and feature a walkout to one of the star attractions here, the hot tub! A set of stairs takes you down to the waterfront. the entry to the water is shallow and it remains shallow out to beyond the dock, making it a spot for toddlers and non-swimmers to enjoy. The local area offers shopping and history. A visit to the Wye Marsh Conservation Area is the choice of many. The towns of Penetanguishene and Midland are well known for their small town charm. Take in a concert at the Midland Cultural Centre (be sure to look for the Midland Murals), enjoy a round of golf at one of the local courses or take a boat ride with Miss Midland Cruises. On the other side of the lake, you will find Little Lake Park, a picturesque park with both natural and active settings.
