Fantastisch mooi oud huis, prachtig. Hele fijne centrale locatie. Zeer goede faciliteiten. Echt een aanrader.
Bij inchecken leek de eigenaresse die ons zou rondleiden voor uitleg (op de afgesproken tijd) nog niet klaar voor ons. Er zat nog was van haar in de wasmachine en afwas in de keuken. We gingen een uur weg en ze zou afronden maar na ruim een uur was ze nog aanwezig. We kregen hierdoor het gevoel wat minder welkom te zijn en voelden ons een belasting voor de eigenaresse.

Yumi and Mike are excellent and very attentive hosts. The home is a gorgeous old wooden house that has been lovingly taken care of; we were lucky to stay there. Plus, it is in an excellent location! We will have wonderful memories of our 4 nights at Close to You. Thank you so much!

I can not recommend this place enough. The owners, Yumi and Mike were the loveliest, warmest, most helpful hosts who welcomed us into their home, showed us around, told us about some of the history and culture and gave fantastic local recommendations. The house is over 100 years old and in beautiful condition, nice and comfortable and able to accommodate 6 full grown men. amazing location with quick walk to markets, castle and other key Kanazawa locations. I will 100% look to rent this accom again the next time I am in Kanazawa!

Beautiful traditional 110 year old Japanese family home. A very comfortable base close to all the attractions of Kanazawa. The host was very helpful with local information and restaurant recommendations and even assisted me in getting my hat back from JR railway lost property.
The stairs to the upstairs rooms are steep - not a problem for our group as 2 young couples were staying upstairs.
