Super friendly and accomodating host. Place feels historic and very much loved by the owner. It has everything for even an multi night stay. The best part of course was the view from the upper floor facing the river. It made it hard to leave the room to visit the city.
You can feel the house has been lived in, and though excellently cleaned and maintained with love, some aspects make you feel as if you are invading somebody else's house. For example you could see stairs and storage spaces which you are invited not to touch or go to, making the experience feel less private.

This well located house is like a museum! I assumed the photos of screens, taiko, etc in the description were from a local museum, but they are actually in the house! We stayed as a group of 4 very comfortably. It was great having a washing machine that washed and dried well. The owner kindly made a reservation for us at a local restaurant 3 minutes away that we never would have found otherwise. The rooms upstairs and the downstairs each had their own air conditioner that worked great!
I had to think hard to come up with anything negative. The air was a little dusty but only I noticed it because of an allergy. (Think grandma’s house vibes.)
