Fantastic location in Lyme Regis though our room was right onto the main road so quite noisy. Very cute pub with ok food. Great shops all around.
The only down side was our "welcome" - we were greeted by a dour woman at reception who was very unfriendly and unhelpful. I mean she wasn't rude as such, but it was quite uncomfortable checking in and my wife and my son all noticed it. Every time we came down to reception we sort of felt we were being a nuisance if we asked anything. There was another young chap on reception and he was super nice.
All the other staff were fantastic the pub staff were super helpful and friendly.
So apart from that slight downside I would recommend this place as you get a proper dose of the english seaside - grumpy receptionist and all :)

Location and lovely historic building
No emergency toothbrush in the room. I asked the night porter but there weren’t any. This was a very last minute booking and didn’t have a toothbrush

Location and parking.
Sadly it was very noisy during our stay. Music came on at 7am both mornings we stayed as we were above the bar, and hoovering started from 7:30am. This seemed very early if you are trying to have a more relaxing morning.
On Saturday afternoon well into the evening there was a party in the restaurant upstairs which was very close to our room. Again the noise levels weren’t conducive for a relaxing stay. There were children running up and down the stairs screaming, loud music, singing. It sounded fab for the people there but not so much for other guests who have paid a lot of money for a relaxing weekend away.
