Staff were really friendly and helpful, giving lots of advice and helping to organise tours and shuttles. The showers were hot, and everything was clean and well organised.

- Helpful and kind staff
- Free yoga classes morning and evening with Alex were amazing!!
- I like the art on the walls :)
- They offer great tours with very good prices totally money’s worth.
- Very easy to walk to the town center and to the grocery store
- Very slight things could be adjusted like the bathroom trashcan being very uncomfortable and hard to open especially since the toilet paper can’t be thrown into the toilet
- It would be great if there was trash separation (recyclables, compost, non-recyclables)

The hostel was perfect. The rooms, bathroom, and hostel were clean. The staff was also welcoming especially Catalina who hosted a super fun trivia night. It is very centrally located and also offered so many options for activities and transport. Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in La Fortuna.

Nice communal facilities and hangout spaces, and good information and tour offering.
Terrible dorm, which requires a refurb (and 1 fewer bunks shoved in it). Terrible smell in the dorm, and no windows to ventilate (as mentioned in other reviews). Air con turned itself off at 3am each night, and when this was queried, we were first told this setting is at the direction of the owner, and then that the machine didn’t allow the settings to be adjusted… either way, not acceptable and disingenuous when selling an “ACed” dorm. Everyone woke up hot and sweaty in a smelly dorm each morning. Top bunks laughably close to the ceiling, like being in a coffin. Rickety old things with pointlessly small shelves.
Breakfast also terrible for the price - don’t bother spending money on a breakfast included rate.
