Schöne gemütliche Wohnung in ruhiger Lage. Es ist alles da, was man braucht, inklusive Fondue und Raclette! Dazu Balkon und eine kleine Terrasse mit schönem Blick auf die Berge, sowie bequeme Betten. Es gibt einen Parkplatz vorm Haus und gutes WLAN. Die Wohnung ist nicht weit von Brienz (Bahnhof, Hafen, Läden etc.) entfernt: ca. 15 Minuten zu Fuß am See, durch das Nachbar-Quartier, oder über den Tierpark. Es gibt aber auch eine Bushaltestelle nicht weit entfernt. Die Wohnung ist außerdem ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen und Ausflüge in die Umgebung. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. und kommen gerne wieder.

The property is very well maintained, very tastefully decorated and has a well equipped kitchen. The views are great. There is a limited view of the lake from the main bedroom and balcony but a great view of the surrounding mountains from all rooms. We had a car so it was a great starting location for all activities around the lakes and Interlaken. The hosts made sure to make the Brienz welcome card easily available. The card gives small dicounts to some activities in and around Brienz (these can be easily found on the internet). We hiked in the Grindewald area and Niederhorn so the discounts didn't help us to reduce expensive cable car and mountain train costs. The supermarket is a close drive and the property is close to the beach and town center. The property is high up and even though the distance is short, the walk back up from the lake quite steep so we didnt attempt this. The parking is easy and conveniently close to the property. We had an issue of crossed communication - we had originally booked for 3 and then updated that we would be 4 adults . The property was set up for three. The issue was solved quickly by a telephone conversation and an explanation where to find the addiitonal blanket, sheets and towels. We were four adults. Two slept in the bedroom and two on the sofa bed. We were comfortable enough for four nights. We tried to use the automated machine of "WeWash" in Brienz which I do not suggest at all and if you have washing you shoukd probably go as suggested by the hosts to Interlaken. It would be useful if there was a drop and pick up laundry service in the area but we didn't find one. We used the kitchen well and enjoyed the raclette set. (There is also a fondue set). If you are looking for a centrally located place with mountain views and clean and cosy then this is the place. A bit of a tight squeeze for four adults but easy for a couple with two children or a couple on their own.
