Die Lage war top.Die Franklin und Sutter Strasse liegen in eine schöne Gegend von SFO. Hier kann man bedenkenlos übernachten. Zimmer sehr sauber, alles picobello , Personnel sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das machte mein Aufenthalt sehr angenehm .

Charming, safe, clean and quiet hostel within walking distance to Japantown

Located in a relatively quiet and safe area within walking distance to Japantown. Friendly, professional, and helpful staff (unlike many places nowadays that are operating remotely with little to no staff this place *actually* has staff). It's VERY clean, quiet, and well maintained with multiple layers of security. They have a cute lounge with a kitchenette and private booth for making calls etc. Definitely amongst the nicest hostels I've stayed at. Much more peaceful location and ambience than most other hostels and budget hotels in SF and still within walking distance to public transit etc. I also really appreciate that there are different floors for men and women. I haven't stayed at a hostel in years but am glad I took a chance on this place; they seem to take their guests comfort and security seriously.

There is not much to dislike about this place and it's unfortunate Booking.com puts this section at the top of the review -- this place is next to perfect for what it is. The only thing I didn't like is that sometimes they set the thermostat to something crazy like 74°! The first night I stayed here I was in a top bunk and it was absolutely suffocating. I barely slept -- but the staff were very responsive to my WhatsApp messages about the issue. It's not *as bad* on a bottom bunk but is still a bit unpleasant (not to mention not great for your health). If you sleep hot I would *NOT* recommend a top bunk in this place -- it's pretty miserable. That said, it has been a comfortable temperature most of my time here but occasionally I guess someone complains and they crank up the heat. Not fun during allergy season!!

Nice location, but still in rebranding

Good location. Nice furniture that has been taken over the old property.

The doors to the rooms and the building are locked by a code, and the code was just verbally communicated. So, in case you forgot it, or lost the paper you wrote it on, there is no way to get back in, as the staff was not reachable around the clock.

カーテン付きで個室感のあるベッド、部屋の明るすぎない雰囲気など、とても良かったです。

キッチンが若干狭いかなと感じました。ただ3日間でキッチンが一杯になってしまっていたのは一度しかなかったので、特に大きな不満ではありません。

Recommendation in San Francisco

First off all the remarkably friendliness and commitment of all members of stuff to keep the house clean, safe, calm. That's why it is a place where you feel welcomed and well. Logistically easy to reach it is also a place from where you can start easily exploring the city. There's some food stores and restaurants around. Big lockers in the room for your belongings. You sleeping cabin can be really dark, if you want. Came I back to SF I wound stay there again for sure. Hope, all members of stuff are doing well.

The bunkbeds are made out of metal. Thats why it can happen, while moving within, that you hit the sheet metal what can be sometimes unpleasent. However, being mad from metal and well manufactured the beds are quite stable.

Great quality for the price

The beds were great, very comfortable. Location is nice, many bus stops nearby. Staff was very friendly and helpful

The water pressure in the showers is very low, short showers were encouraged which I agree with, but it’s hard to rinse when there’s little water coming out.

Super Unterkunft um San Francisco zu erkundigen.

Preis/Leistung ist super. Tolle Lage, vieles fußläufig erreichbar. Personal sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Gemeinschaftsküche mit Kühlschrank, Mikrowelle und ein wenig Geschirr und Sitzmöglichkeiten.

Hellhörige Räume, man hört die Straße und vorbeilaufende Leute deutlich. Sauberkeit der Gemeinschaftsduschen und WCs könnte besser sein, müsste einfach häufiger gereinigt werden.

I’ll definitely stay again!

Location was fabulous. Staff was incredibly kind and connective.

No air-conditioning in the rooms and some guests couldn’t figure out the value of wearing shades and keeping the windows open at night

Aconchegante!

Super limpo, bastante banheiro e cabine de banho disponível, quartos aconchegantes apesar de ser compartilhado e a cama era muito boa, com bastante privacidade. O atendimento durante a estadia foi muito bom. A Localização é boa, fica fácil se locomover por vários lugares de SF a pé ou de transporte público.

Awesome experience!

The location is perfect, the staff super friendly, extremely quiet so no noise at all even when I stayed at the business pod which was fantastic. Fast wi-fi, toilets and showers available all the time, never had to wait a minute, public transportation one block away. Definitely coming back!

Find alternative accommodation

The staff were friendly and it was really clean. Location was also quite good in a safe area.

The pods have a metal frame so it makes a lot of noise if you or another guests accidentally hits it. Also, the other guests were drinking and partying in the room across the hallway. They had the door open and after I asked them to close it I could still hear them. I actually checked out of the place after one night (had originally planned 3 nights). I told the staff when I checked out and they said the manager would contact me but this hasn’t happened yet. Not really a great experience as the problem I had wasn’t really dealt with. If you are gonna have rules about no parties/drinking in the rooms, at least enforce them. Probably one of the worst hostels I’ve stayed in because of this experience.

For the price in SF, it’s worth it if you don’t plan to just be inside all day

Clean facilities. Good location, very safe. Very clean bathrooms, modern black and white vibe.

Rooms are a bit dark - light switch is all the way in the bottom far corner so you have to reach over your bed to get there when you walk in. I would have liked it if the First Class glass pods were lockable from the outside but they do lock from the inside at night. Neighbours seemed to have 2 people sharing same bed rather than 1 per facility rules. Could hear them talking but sound was not a big issue in the pods.

The location is easy to access the public transport and good restaurants.

I was assigned to the top bunk and it was a bit inconvenient and difficult for me to climb up and down. Other than that, all the facilities such as bed, storage, restrooms, and showers exceeded my expectations.

Clean bed, nice neighborhood. It's save to stay, specially there is no homeless nearby.

You need to bring your own lock for the locker. And if you need to put the luggage here after check out, there is a 25 dollars fee.

Very clean and new. Bed is very comfy.

Kitchen is non existent. They have only microwawe, cold-and hot water machine and roaster.

The location and the privacity in each bed, The coffee in the morning, we really appreciate that.

The only common place to eat was 2 tables with 2 chairs. Its no allowed eat inside the room, so everyday someone took the dinner without a table. Will be great if you add some more space.
