The place is roomy and relaxed; the sleeping cubicles I found to be cosy and offered a decent amount of privacy. The staff are lovely and really made my stay here: Helped with daily suggestions of activities; motorbike rental; onwards travel ; and was always smiling and chatty. I extended my stay an extra two days here because of how relaxed and at home I felt here. When my alarm didn’t go off in the morning, the lady from the hostel woke me up so I didn’t miss my minivan to take me to Laos. Also was a very affordable stay.
Not the most social (not really a problem if that’s what you’re looking for); a little ways out of the centre by foot, but quick and easy drive if you rent a motorbike

Grace is an amazing host. So smiley and helpful and informative about the local area. She genuinely cares about her guests. Her son is great too. I felt very welcome. Very comfy bed and great food. Very good value for money.
It is a little bit out of the way to get to things but as it was one of the cheapest I could find I can’t complain about anything.

Good breakfast (if you like eggs)
By reading the previous comments, I was expecting a nice vibe and friendly welcome : I arrived around at 1pm and had to wait for the owner for a long time, she wasn’t friendly, didn’t get the room before 2:30pm
Bathrooms were very dirty, first time I see that after 2 months travelling through Asia. Spider webs in the shower area, as well as in the corner of my bed…
The dorms are huge, 20+ beds. It was very cold at night
