We arrived late, Lars and his two very cute rescue dogs met us as we parked and helped us to the property. Lars had already turned the lights and heater on for us so the loft was lovely and warm. He also let us check out later on our last day so we didn’t have to rush to leave. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. The garden was beautiful and the fireplace stole the show.

Self catering. Liked the quiet and secluded venue. Fireplace and braai facilities fully stocked with wood was a winner for me. Lovely big windows view to terrace and flora a winner. Privacy much valued. Pity we couldn't utilise the pool yet but overall very satisfied. The Host Lars is very accommodating and extra friendly.
The pool could not be utilised but property under renovation so no sweat.

tolles Haus mit 2 Etagen + großer Terrasse, viel Platz, gute Betten, tolles Bad, Spülmaschne, Kamin, sehr nette und hilfsbereite Gastgeber, schöner Garten. Restaurant-Tipp: Country Club (Mi-So) und am Wochenende Elgin Railway Market. Frisches Brot beim Orchard Farmstall.
Die Ausstattung der Küche war nicht ausreichend (zu wenig Töpfe und Küchenutensilien). Nachts Lärmbelästigung durch kläffende Hunde, morgens durch krähende Hähne und Ibisse (sehr laut !). Keine Restaurnats fußläufig erreichbar daher Mietwagen erforderlich.

Great location. Central to the Elgin region which was the reason for my travel. The property was wonderfully kept. I felt safe and secluded at the same time.
The main bed could have been more comfortable. There were some damaged support planks.
