This two-bedroom beachside suite offers the best views of the Caribbean Sea from the private seating area on the outdoor balcony overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Both bedrooms have king-sized beds and private bathrooms with hot/cold showers. The kitchen and dining area can accommodate parties of six. The living room is fully furnished with a flat-screen television and a full-size futon for additional sleeping space.

Sapphire Beach Resort sits on the quieter part of Ambergris Caye, surrounded by luscious palm tree forests. Many people pack a cooler full of beers and snacks for the adventurous ride up to Secret Beach. With smoothed roads, this stretch of beach on the western side of the island is a delight to experience. Or head down to the more lively town of San Pedro to experience the Belizean charm in restaurants, shops, boutiques, bars, and friendly locals.

Comfortable and pleasant stay

The resort was really lovely. The restaurant food was very good and the staff was friendly and helpful. As the resort is a 45-50 min. ride by golf cart from town, quests do need to be mindful of how much gas is in the tank. There is no place nearby to fill your tank -- you will have to ride back to town for refills. It would be a fun ride if the roads where not in such bad shape. They are not paved and there are many potholes. The beach out front was so choppy and turned up we weren't able swim there our entire vacation. I did hear it's beautiful most of the time. The villas are quite nice and the cleaning staff comes each day. There is security 24/7 on the property and if you need something they are happy to help. We went through the resort front desk to make our reservations for a snorkeling tour as they will come pick you up right out front on the pier which is so much better than riding into San Pedro. There was a minimal fee for this service and well worth it.
