Look no further - you’ve found it! The perfect romantic getaway in Red River Gorge, Kentucky. You will never want to leave this cozy cabin, but if you do adventure is only a short drive away. Soak in the hot tub and gaze up at the stars each night. Grill dinner on the charcoal grill and then settle in around a cozy fire. - Romantic Hideaway is pet friendly however pet fee of $100 does not show in total balance. We have a $100 pet fee that covers up to 2 dogs. Please contact directly after booking to add this $100 fee.
- Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen (Standard coffee pot, microwave), WIFI, flat-screen Roku TV, Karaoke machine, popcorn machine, charcoal grill, fireplace, covered deck w/ outdoor furniture, hammock, cornhole, fire pit, and more!
- Loft: King Bed
- One full bathroom
- Fresh linens and towels. We also include essential starter packs to make your stay easier! (Starter packs include: 2 rolls of toilet paper, 1 roll of paper towels, shampoo and conditioner, bar soap, 3 laundry pods, 3 trash bags, and 1 sponge.)
- Firewood not provided, please purchase locally!
- Please Note: We highly encourage 4WD. Cabin is located up a very steep hill paved/gravel. Trailers Prohibited.
- Secluded Red River Gorge location - Close to hiking, horseback riding, rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing, zip lines, sight-seeing, restaurants, and much more!
Chestnut Log Cabin Development
- Dogs permitted with $100 fee. (Dogs only; maximum 2 allowed. Dogs need to be crated if left at the property alone.) Pet fee does not automatically add to your balance, please contact us to apply after booking.
- Please contact us as soon as possible if you must cancel or reschedule your stay. No refunds or date modifications within 14 days or less of your arrival.
- No refunds are permitted due to weather. No exceptions. Winter weather (snow/ice) and flooding can occur in our area. You should be given the option to add Trip Insurance at booking check-out.
- Please be aware that no refunds are permitted for cancellations on holiday rates, which includes but is not limited to, New Year’s, Valentine`s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Since we had 4WD, the road was not a problem but I would not recommend 2WD, especially when the road is wet. The cabin is private and the kitchen was very cute. The hot tub was wonderful. The sofa was not very comfortable and there was no place to set a drink while you were sitting on it. The stairs to the bedroom are very dangerous and we had one close call on them. The cabin was clean with the exception of the tub. When we turned the jets on, we noticed a pink sludge coming out of the jets. Needless to say, we switched to showers for the rest of the stay. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Great spot overall, really enjoyed our stay. Nice, private setting too. There were only two of us, so it didn't matter to us, but I would point out that the "double sofa bed" barely qualifies as a double futon-type bed in my view. Do NOT book this place expecting two beds. It might be adequate for one, maybe two small children, but I wouldn't want to sleep on it. Otherwise, great.

We booked a last minute getaway and had a fabulous time! We loved the secluded privacy of the cabin and the hot tub was amazing after a long day on the road! We enjoyed our stay and would love to come again some day!

The cabin was nice, clean. Few damaged items upon arrival that was quickly reported. The inside was quaint and cozy. Needed more towels and blankets. Customer service was great. The long drive way was severely in disrepair, and not mentioned in the listing. If it was, I would not have stayed. We traveled on motorcycles. The bath tub jets appeared to have not truly been cleaned with vinegar in a long time. The hot tub was nice though is overdue for updating. Water pressure, ac were all great. If before mentioned items are fixed. I would recommend to a friend.
