Mellow is truly a hidden gem that deserves so much more recognition and bookings. I must mention Nethmi, the sweetest little receptionist who was very lovely and helpful. From the get go we had the smoothest experience, even before check in we were given a tour of the room and asked if it met our expectations. Check in was no fuss and the staff were very careful with our belongings as well. The room was way more spacious and comfortable than we expected, bed was ultra comfy and soft, A/C and hot water worked well too. On one of our booked days due to the bad weather the hotel lost power and Nethmi came to us personally to explain the situation and let us know they were working on getting back up power up and running ASAP. On our last day we both fell sick from the rain and the team were so kind and let us have a late checkout FOC so we could rest more. It made us feel like this hotel cared about their guests more than the money they bring. I would highly recommend Mellow to anyone looking for a great place to stay at Weligama, with high quality customer service and a very central location. Total value for money guaranteed!
Nothing, we did worry about the hotel being next to the train tracks and the loud train noises that can come with it, but we didn’t have any major disturbances to our sleep or relaxation.

It was close to the beach! And it wasn’t too crowded
They need to update the booking website because I thought I could use the coworking space because that’s what was said on the booking page but when I got to the place they said it was an extra expense. They did not have a microwave or fridge I could use. They did not have soap in the washroom!

Good location near the surf schools and beach.
Staff are pretentious and uncoordinated. Beds are cleaned throughly, staff sprays a lot of scent to present a clean ambiance.
