Key location was straightforward enough
The code for the key was sent amidst a number of emails from Sykes cottages and booking.com which led to a delay in accessing the property. When we tried to contact Sykes the out of of office emergency number didn’t return a reply for more than 24 hours. Thankfully we managed to find the email after a couple of hours.

We like the location, the property and the accessibility to the various lakes around the lake District. I love the fireplace. It was amazing. It kept the room warm for the 7 days we were there because we used it almost every day because it was so cold of course at that time of year. Beautiful landscaped and love the water feature. We even saw three deer. Seriously.
It was such a lovely property but it was let down by the state of the table and chairs in dining area. The seats were a bit grubby actually there were very grubby. They needed a bit of a steam clean to get the muck out. The lights in the garden didn't work but the garden was stupendous.
