9 / 10Outstanding·Oct 2026
Great location with beautiful views overlooking the stream and the waterfall. Very peaceful and only the natural sounds of nature to disturb the peace. The Kitchen provided everything we could possibly wish for and it was like home from home and everything was perfectly clean on arrival. The bed was extremely comfy.
Fantastic stay, however there was a video recorder plugged in with lots of nostalgia 1990 films. However from what we could determine, no way of connecting the video player to the TV. Also side note and this was not an issue and down to the remote location, the signal to the TV was very intermittent so lost connection occasionally.

Fantastic location, short walk into Ambleside. Well equipped comfortable cottage. Plenty of space inside for a week's worth of clothes and gear.
The property is very dark due to its location which can't be helped however better brighter light bulbs would help, the light at the top of the hallway brings nothing to the party. WiFi is from the dark ages and was very slow. That aside we would happily stay here again.

Wonderful location
the lights in the living room and hall were rather dim

Beautiful location next to waterfall amongst trees. Spacious, clean, comfortable apartment.
No WiFi password provided or instructions for TV. Very old fry pans (carcinogenic).
