It was clean and well-stocked. From the kitchen to the bathrooms and closets, we had everything we needed for two weeks. Wonderful views and perfect location for enjoying the SeaWorld fireworks. Far enough from Mission Bay Dr and Mission Blvd, so you can have peace and quiet, but close enough so you can be at SeaWorld after 5 minutes of driving and you can be at the major Mission Beach attractions with a 5-minute walk. We loved having a healthy breakfast every morning at the Funky Lemon - at the intersection of San Luis Obispo and Mission Blvd. That was a 7-minute walk away from the house. A beautiful way to start your day, with a walk by Mission Bay or Mission Beach. I can't say enough about Drift Vacation Homes. Communication was excellent. They responded within 30 minutes to any email inquiries and constantly kept us updated on everything through text and email messages. It was smooth sailing the whole two weeks we stayed there. Definitely coming back next year!

Great home, clean and well maintained. Plenty of room for our family of four to sleep and hosted 7 for Thanksgiving dinner. Kitchen is well equipped, linens are fresh and new. Amazing location and views of Mission Bay. We will stay here again.

We had a great time. House was perfect for two couples and the location was great. Bayside is so much quieter than ocean side. Loved outdoor area overlooking bay. Conveniently located for short rides to many areas of attraction.

The Bayfront Gem is a beautiful little beach condo right on Mission Bay. I chose it for the size (3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths) and because it was right near the water. The pictures don't do it justice--almost the entire property has been remodeled. Only the full bathrooms haven't and even they were sparkling clean.
The ground floor consists of the living room, kitchen, half bath, and laundry closet with stackable machines. There's a sofa, two chairs, table with four chairs, and stools at the breakfast bar. There was plenty of space for my husband and our two kids to spread out. The patio door opens to the patio which has a firepit and five chairs, and you can walk right out to the beach.
We did cook breakfast at the house. There are plenty of pots, pans, and utensils, all clean and looked relatively new. I did wish there were a few more spices and maybe some basics like cooking oil. Overall it was a great setup for cooking and eating at the house.
Upstairs are three bedrooms and two full baths. The master has a small balcony that also overlooks the beach. The master shower has a lovely rainfall showerhead that I enjoyed. I didn't get a chance to try it but the tub has jets! Having two sinks in that bathroom was also nice.
The one thing that might not work for some people is the parking. The garage is somewhat narrow. We did manage to park our Toyota Sequoia SUV in it but it took a lot of backing in and out to position it properly. It was nice to have a garage though, rather than parking on the street.
The location is great for being near both the bay and ocean (5 minute walk). Belmont Park is also walking distance, as are several restaurants.

We had a wonderful vacation. You can walk to the ocean and to many restaurants. The master suite is beautiful with an amazing view with a balcony. The host was very responsive and definitely met our needs.

I searched and searched for the perfect place to stay and am so glad I came on this one. Location is great - looking out at the bay & steps away from the calm bayfront beach; few blocks away from the ocean beach. Bean bags, beach toys, boogie boards, beach chairs, etc. Easy drive to downtown attractions, La Jolla, etc. Easy walk to Belmont Park and local restaurants. Clean, simple check in and check out. Highly recommend and would consider staying here again.

What a perfect vacation home. Clean, spacious, comfortable, great location. The management team was stellar as well. We had an issue with come up, and the management team was on it immediately and remedied the situation without intruding on our vacation. We will definitely be back! Thank you

Stayed June 25-30, 2023. The six of us (a 3 generation group of close friends and family, ages 10 months, 34, 35, 68, 70, 73 years old -- all very active) had a great time at this ideal location. We very much enjoyed being on the ground floor and walking out our patio directly to the "boardwalk", then the grass and the beach. Great for biking on the boardwalk to a local spot to get coffee and breakfast items, walking to dinner, launching our blow-up kayak and taking a spin in the bay, reading in a beach chair on the grass or beach, which was steps from our patio, and most importantly experiencing the baby's first experience with her feet in ocean water. So much fun! We checked out the furniture on other patios and "ours" appeared to be, by far, the most comfortable, which was much appreciated.
The condo itself was nicely appointed, clean and comfortable.
Management responded quickly and graciously to any questions/issues we had.

We’ve stayed in many vacation rentals over the years. Probably at least 8 on Mission Bay alone. This ranks as one of the nicest. Very upscale decor. Quality of furnishings, attractively decorated. Many extras from Roku to well labeled light switches to a 30’ long tandem garage to sharp knives (rare in most rentals). Located at the quieter end of Mission Bay. Finally a very simple checkout process. We will definitely have this high on our list for our next stay.

Such a fantastic condo right on the bayside beach! Loved the front patio. I could watch my kids play on the beach from the comfy chairs while enjoying a glass of wine. Great extras including plastic Adirondack chairs to take out to the beach/grass area, sand toys, bubble machine, balls, boogie boards, wetsuits, beach chairs, board games, corn hole, etc! And the condo is a very short walk to the ocean side beach, shops, restaurants, Bonita Cove swimming area and playground, The Plunge indoor pool, and the Belmont Park amusement park. Such a great location for a wonderful family vacation!

Our family of 6 loved being so close to the Belmont Park area (walking distance) and just a few blocks to the ocean on Mission Beach! Staying on the Bay side was less windy. We were able to enjoy the SeaWorld Fireworks each night from our patio. Loved the patio gas fire table! The unit was very clean and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. The living room furniture, couch and chairs were uncomfortable for seniors. The coffee pot is duel so you can make a pot or use a pod. We were able to park the minivan and get out on one side. We had a wonderful stay and hope to return next year!

This house was just the perfect size for my husband & I and two young adult nieces!
We were there for a wedding at the Catamaran Hotel which we walked to and from to hang out with the wedding party (Uber for wedding day). Walked to the boardwalk as well….great for Instacart delivery upon arrival and Door Dash….best part was coffee every morning with the beach view from the front patio and steps from the beach!

We managed, but I tried to get enough wash clothes for our group, we didn’t even have one apiece. Housekeeping told us a day later than our request that it’s such a busy week they have no extra wash clothes. We had to wash a load of towels every single day. Other than that small issue , we really enjoyed our stay and the place worked well for our family!

The pics don't do it justice. The place had everything you could need. It was very clean and very comfortable. We met locals with their dogs and had the best time. The bayside was so quiet and the beach was practically all ours.

This was a very comfortable unit, perfectly located with the beach right outside. Furnishings were comfy and attractive.
The view was great, and we were only a 5-minute walk from Belmont Park, which our girls loved. Lots of sand pails, boogie boards and beach chairs in the garage. There are decent taco shops and a sushi bar nearby, and Instacart delivers, so we did not go hungry. Beds were comfy--only complaint was that the sheets were polyester, not cotton, so if you are particular in that regard, bring your own. Management was very friendly and responsive.

We loved the place and location. The two negative issues we had were while we were sleeping the first night someone else must have known the entry code and came in and stole $850 and rifled through our belongings. Also the agreement was to not turn air conditioning lower than 72 degrees and the thermostat is on the first floor so it gets much warmer on the second floor. Place was very clean and comfortable. Management came and changed the code for us. I would make sure they change the code the day you arrive.

This comfortable rental makes for a lovely stay on Mission Bay. The second floor balcony and ground-level patio afford wonderful views of the bay and the boardwalk. Beds and coaches are comfortable and the decor is inviting and tropical without being fussy. The kitchen has everything you need.
The amazing thing about this area is how peaceful and quiet it is given the dense housing and proximity to Mission Beach. It's nice to have a garage.
We enjoyed our time there, including a day spent inside during a raging storm.

Fantastic condo, right on the beach. Well appointed, really clean and updated, great location. You have Starbucks a block away, sushi, bars and Mexican food within 5 mins as well. We went in Nov, very quiet area and great weather. Fantastic communication and instructions from the host- very easy in and out. Highly recommend and hope to return!

The unit was perfect for the five of us. The rooms were nice and being able to sit outside even better as each one had a private deck as well as a patio with a gas fireplace outside facing the beautiful, calm bay. It was a very short walk to Mission Beach and Belmont Park.

A rare chance for parents to get away with 2 adult sons! Spent every day on bay! Great location, son brought boat, easy access! Clean, nicely decorated home! Had everything we needed! Pet friendly for our little schnauzer! Highly recommend!!
