The downsides:
There’s basically nothing provided for everyday living. No shampoo, no slippers, and no basic cooking essentials. Apparently, whatever previous guests leave behind is what you get — in this case, just salt.
The apartment was quite cold and rather dark in the evenings. This matters to me, and it’s a significant downside.
There is an iron, but it’s damaged. It looks like someone ironed synthetic fabric at a high temperature and melted it onto the soleplate. The hosts clearly don’t care enough to clean it, so good luck getting anything ironed properly. I can’t even remember whether there was an ironing board in the apartment.
And when you check in, you’ll also get to play a little game of hide-and-seek with the Wi-Fi router, because apparently the hosts can’t be bothered to print out the password and put it somewhere visible — like on the front door, on the fridge, or on the little table next to the TV.
