Hotel Scappata

The location, location and location. Directly across the Malecon was the beach which had hotel cabanas, beach umbrellas with chaise loungers. Hotel staff came by regularly to take food or drink orders. The hotel's second floor infinity pool is a perfect placement with the sunset for a background.

The hotel restaurant was a slight disappointment. Specifically the consistency of the food preparations. Our first night every dish was exceptionally prepared and presented, pizzas, two different Alfredo dishes along with the appetizers. The next day they changed chefs or something, because portion sizes were inconsistent, some dishes were under cooked and some over cooked, this included the pizzas. Breakfast was the same. Our third day there we stop eating at Resturante Scappata, choosing other options.

Absolutely everything about this property is spectacular!!! Right from the beginning I was taken such good care of by Enna (don’t let this one get away! She was amazing!!) The room WOW! View of the sea and swings on the veranda! The beach club and pool - WOW! The staff - WOW!! The restaurant and food - another WOW!! I will be back!!!

That I didn’t stay longer!! Next time!

The hotel's location is ideal, it is in the middle of the malecon. the staff was excellent, but I must add that the 'managers' were aloof, unfriendly, and were not welcoming and seemed to be bored. I want to reiterate that the staff was GREAT.

The food at the restaurant is great and comes in large amounts. This place has the most amazing location! It is as beach front as you can get, with service to your cabana. I loved how it's not a busy crowded corner, so it seems quiet and no frills, perfect for a vacation.

The food was great but quite pricey. The rooms were surprisingly small. They were stylish and clean, so perfect for a couple. For a family with small children, it was not ideal. Also, the pool and the bar were very much designed for adults. I don't think children will find an appeal for the pool, but the beach is right there so it's no issue.
