In general the apartment was good - but there were a few elements that could have been improved - we
Location and view were excellent and apartment smart and well equipped.
No outside seating area or furniture.

Perfect location, right on the beach!
This apartment is excellent, newly refurbished. The location was perfect, right on the beach, with stunning sunrise views every morning. The guy who greeted us was so friendly and helpful, giving us tips on what do and see in Gibraltar.
There is a street lamp right outside of the apartment, which is on all night. They would just need to get better blinds that cover all of the windows, then this place would be perfect!

The property is nice modern maisonette suitable for 2 people and the location is great.
The location was superb and the maisonette was as expected. The host arrived within 10 minutes and showed us around the property. Linen and towels were nice and clean. Overall it was OK, as we were visiting family so did not spend all day at the apartment. However, there were a few things - as below - that were a distraction.
1. The blind upstairs was permanently down as it was broken - this was explained when we arrived and didn't affect us too much but for the money paid we really would have expected it to have been repaired. 2. On the second day the toilet seat in the upstairs bathroom broke; we advised the host who said he would fit a new one. This didn't actually happen (although the host did apologise). 3. There was some spotting on the wall in the downstairs toilet, which looked like faeces. 4. Throughout the whole stay there was a constant humming noise in the apartment. We checked all the air con units and fans where we could, but could not find the source - this became quite tiresome expecially when trying to sleep. 5. Although the appliances looked very new, the seal on the fridge door was constantly falling out and the door was difficult to close; we did report this. In the end we forced the end of the seal in at the top so that we could close the fridge. 6. Although beyond the property owners control, it is worth noting that there is a street light immediately outside the property which is on all night and shines in through the front top windows (which do not have blinds) lighting up the whole downstairs flat. 7. The property description said that toiletries were provided. There was a hand soap dispenser in each bathroom with about an inch in each, and some random, used, bottles of shower gel and conditioner (obviously belonging tp previous visitors). To say that toiletries are supplied is not really correct.

The location of the property was great for transport ( local bus) to all activities are very close to the property which walking distance. The buses are comfortable and air-conditioned the number 8 and 4 became my regular buses. However make sure you have change/ cash to purchase a return fare the do not use Oyster or any form of contact payment.. There is a restaurant called ( if I remember correctly) Sea View very close by (3 minuets) away from the property which is very nice. Really friendly staff ,opening times are great for a nice lunch or evening meal. There are lots of other places to eat accesable by bus in Case Mate. I personally found I liked Biancas in Ocean Village. Good value for money, service as well as outside seating in front of the Marina. In addition there are a variety of places to eat or drink in Ocean Village. However if you choose to eat in some evenings whilst you stay at Catalan Bay I suggest to travel to the Erosky store , mid town. You can purchase general essentials for the appartment ( number 8 bus). Oh and Sandy Bay 10/15 minutes walk is gorgouse. I stayed in Catalan Bay May 2023. The appartment, number 11 Catalan Bay met my expectations. The property's interior design is high specification. Although, Sweetstay I would recomend to add some cups/ large mugs for cups of tea and a couple of more pots. Perhaps it would be nice to offer to rent some beach chairs/ loungers for tge beach. However The pots provided are of a very high standard. In addition I really liked the re- cycling system provided, also a washing machine. On the other hand ' Visitors please BE AWARE AND VIGILANT' , Sweetay I strongly suggest that you add a rubber strip along the step ( maybe grey in color to consider with the interior) transitioning from the kitchen to the lounge area for safety reasons. Particularly in the evening this step can be less easy to see due to the marble colour.
My highlight of my trip was on the Gibralter Rock, glorious views acrose the ocean. There is a Cafe and Resturant avalible on the Rock also. Second, highlight of my trip to Gibralter. I had a scuba diving session ( Ocean Village next to Biancas Restaurant) As a beginner my very first time I would recomend they were brilliant šŸ‘ . One to one training session how to use the equipment , not rushed step by step until you feel confident. I recommend practice using the breathing equipment until you feel reasonably comfortable. As it is a bit of an adjustment breathing through your mouth. The scuber diving evxperince was very memorable. Thank you Robert who took me diving.

amazingly located property on the beach that was just beautiful to wake up with a sea view
it was beautifully located and had most things we needed to make it a very comfortable stay
just missing a few extra touches to make it exceptional could do with a blind or something for very top window as guests using sofa bed have no way of stopping light also a hoover that works and good brooms for sweeping due to being near sand. maybe offer a welcome pack as well
