For those who prefer a higher level of comfort and quality, Starry Ridge provides all of the amenities for a perfect vacation, wedding party, golf group, or family reunion! Located behind the gates of Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure, this impressive home has over 4800 sq feet with four large bedrooms, each with a King bed. For the younger set, there are two trundle beds (four twin beds in total) located in the upstairs Game Room and a "kiddie room" designed with two additional twin beds. For gathering together, there is a Great Room with gas fireplace that connects to a splendid kitchen with counter top seating and a separate dining area. For a perfect evening of star gazing, there is a main deck area with hot tub, that offers mountain and lake views (seasonal) connected to a screened in porch with gas fireplace. An upstairs bedroom also includes a covered balcony with even more impressive views. For entertainment, there is a large screen smart TV in the Great Room and smart tv's in every bedroom. The upstairs Game Room includes a poker table, large smart TV, PAC MAN video console and shuffleboard table. The spacious garage has a ping pong table and there is even a pleasant sitting area on the main floor including a card table for your favorite card game with friends/family or to simply indulge in your favorite book. There is also small, private office, for those who may need some privacy for that quick business call before getting back to the important stuff. There is a large laundry room on the main floor with plenty of storage and a two car garage. The home is tastefully decorated in Mountain Modern style and exceptionally appointed, including luxury Bamboo sheets. High speed fiber internet provides ample streaming for all your guests. Conveniently located to the various Rumbling Bald amenities (0.8 miles) including the beach, outdoor pool and lazy river, Wellness Center, indoor pool, sauna, Spa and Salon, pickleball/tennis courts, The Cabana (motorized boat rentals, tours and canoes/SUP board rentals), several restaurants and two championship golf courses! Enjoy all the amenities of Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure during your stay, as your rental includes all of the required Guest Passes (passes for up to 12 adults...children under the age of 12 are not required to have a Guest Pass). Finally, the property is managed locally...not by an out of town company. We had two families (11 in all) celebrating Thanksgiving. Great house - well appointed and large kitchen, large dining table, game room, multiple social areas for playing cards and chatting. Rooms were spacious and you can have separation/privacy when you need it as well as space for gathering. Hot tub a nice touch. The fitness facility beach and pool was a 0.5 to 0.75 mi walk (probably wouldn't walk it after dark - narrow road) or drive. We loved chimney rock (25-30 mins away) and other local hiking. Great place to connect with family and/or friends and enjoy the great outdoors.

In the past 10 years or so I’ve stayed at a lot of properties under Homeway and VRBO and I have to say this ranks with the very best. Everything was as stated. Scott was a super attentive host, and always just a text away. Beautiful property in beautiful country. Lots of good restaurants and things to do including hiking and boating. I don’t think I can say enough good things about it!

The house had more than enough space for 3 families, with a huge kitchen that was perfect for gathering. The views are fantastic, the house is well-stocked and most importantly for us very clean! Having nearby restaurants, easy access to the lake and pickleball and mini golf within a couple of minutes were big hits. The property manager was easily accessible and was quick to follow up with any questions. We would recommend this house for anyone wanting to enjoy the water and mountains all in one place.

Our stay at Starry Ridge was wonderful. The house was very spacious and clean and location was perfect. Rumbling Bald resort felt safe, quiet and was not overly crowded - perfect for a relaxing lake/mountain getaway. The amenities and special events (s'mores and fireworks!) at Rumbling Bald were an added bonus! Everything we needed was close by or within 15-30 minutes drive. Back to the home itself: The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Bathrooms had hand soap(yes!!) and stocked with plenty of towels, toilet paper and shampoo/body wash. The kitchen was fully stocked and had plenty of room for us to not feel crowded-loved the large island! We loved the welcome area with snacks and cards. There were tvs in every bedroom and WiFi signal was strong. Kids enjoyed the pac man game and shuffle board in the game room. The laundry room was also great with plenty of detergent and cleaning supplies. The garage had a stroller, beach chairs and other items, though we did not need to use them. The driveway had plenty of room for 3 cars. The owners have thought out every detail well. Lastly, we really appreciated the temperature settings for the thermostat as many rentals recommend much higher settings for summer. Communication was on point. Our host was extremely responsive, helpful and professional. We were provided with clear instructions and information both ahead of and during our stay. We look forward to returning again in the future!

This home was perfect for our family! It is very spacious with a wonderful screen porch area, large fully equipped kitchen, hot tub on the deck, enough king beds for all in our extended family, and best of all - the amenities at Rumbling Bald Resort. We had a blast! The property manager was extremely helpful with great suggestions and advice for an absolutely wonderful vacation!

We had a family reunion and this was the perfect house. It was beautiful inside and out, well stocked and in a fantastic location. Communication with the host was excellent. The community amenities kept kids and adults alike active and happy! We have already talked about coming back!

To say we were impressed is an understatement. This was our first time in Lake Lure; my family and I had a blast. There were 10 of us (9 adults and 1 child) total and we had plenty of room. The amenities inside and outside the home were great. We ate in most nights, and the only thing that could have been a little better with the house was that the stove did not heat the few pans they had quickly, causing dinner time to take a little longer, but no one complained and we actually used the burners on the grill which worked better. The property manager on site is extremely responsive and respectful. He made sure we were comfortable and that we had everything we needed. He also sent us recommendations for a van service to take our family on a wine tour and for our groceries to be delivered AND PUT AWAY before we arrived (totally recommend this service!!). The grocery store is quite a distance away, and having a fully stocked home on arrival is great. The resort itself was beautiful as well, the lake was clean, clear, and warm. We had a blast during our week, I would return in a heartbeat.

Property was perfect for our family! It was beautiful and clean! The view from the deck was lovely especially as the sun rose in the morning. Scott was available and responded very quickly to any texts or emails. I highly suggest getting a golf cart as the property is an uphill .5 mile walk from the resort. If your headed the Lake Lure, this is a wonderful place to stay!

This beautiful home was the perfect rental to explore the Lake Lure and Chimney Rock area for our extended family. The well appointed kitchen had every tool we have at home. Loved the second fridge in the Laundry Room too. Loved our time here! We had excellent communication with our Host who was so helpful with recommendations in the area.

The property had everything we needed. The game room provided several options for all ages. The child's room was magical! The prompt response from the property manager was incredible (great). There are many fun things to do on the property so it's a great place if you plan to stay close to "home". Our only problem was that it was so far from most everything we wanted to do. (It was usually an hour and a half to go to hike or bike the areas we wanted to visit.) There was a beautiful hike/bike trail nearby and we did visit it often. The nearby restaurants were good and had nice views.

The rain messed with a lot of our plans, but the house was the perfect, comfy, spacious and clean space to spread out, play games, sit by the fire, hang out in the hot tub, eat and enjoy being together. Property manager Scott was great and really helpful!
