Our stay was disappointing due to several maintenance, cleanliness, and communication issues. Upon arrival, the front gate was broken, and multiple pool toys were left in the pool even though the property was supposed to be cleaned before check-in. After traveling, I had an accident on my clothes and needed to wash them to prevent further staining. The washer, a listed amenity, did not work, so I had to wash my clothes by hand in the sink. We had also purchased groceries, but the refrigerator was not cooling properly. I reported both issues immediately. Instead of working toward a resolution, the host asked if the washer was plugged in, if the water was on, and whether I "needed it already."Whether it was the first or last day of our stay, guests should be able to use the advertised amenities. We also found the bed linens had visible hair and dirt particles. Rather than addressing our concerns, the host questioned how we knew the sheets were dirty and later claimed his cleaners said we were lying. As paying guests, our concerns should have been taken seriously. After checkout, the host requested additional payment, claiming we used the grill without cleaning it. We never used or even opened the grill. During a recorded phone call, he first blamed us but then admitted it may have been left that way by the previous guests. The host's communication was dismissive and condescending, and there was little accountability for the property's condition. BEWARE. READ REVIEWS BEFORE BOOK
