Located in North Eleuthera, this attractive cottage for $287 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Orchid Cottage is a fully air conditioned, bright and lovely Bahamian cottage, on Old Banks Road steps from the Atlantic Ocean beach. It is surrounded by swaying palm trees, beautiful foliage, and tropical flowers. Walk two minutes from the front deck and a magnificent ocean view unfolds. Upon arrival, our property managers will meet you at the Banana Beach Estates gate. You will be greeted with complimentary Bahamian drinks and appetizers. Our staff is utterly lovely, and they make every effort to make sure you are well taken care of. The open concept living room, dining room, and kitchen areas allow your entire group to interact during cooking, eating, and family activities. The turquoise and pineapple accents bring a coastal feel to the cottage. The kitchen is equipped with everything you will need to prepare your meals and it offers the convenience of a washing machine. The cathedral ceiling gives the cottage an airy feeling. Enjoy the Smart TV with access to your Netflix account or use our Fire Stick with numerous international and local channels as well as FREE Pay Per View movies. Connect to the web by way of free internet. One bedroom has a queen bed and the second has a king bed, that can be converted into two twin beds. The entire cottage is equipped with ceiling fans along with a/c units in the bedrooms & loft. Beautiful linens, bath towels, and beach towels have been carefully selected to make your stay comfortable. Between the two bedrooms is a coastal three-piece bathroom. The large walk-in shower has sea glass, shells, and pebbles from the Atlantic Ocean embedded in the floor. An additional shower is located outside by the deck. Enjoy relaxing on the outdoor sectional, drink your morning coffee or sip on an island cocktail, as you listen to the ocean's waves lapping on the shore. In the evenings, the deck is a terrific location to gaze at the infinite numbers of stars in the dark Eleuthera sky. The charcoal grill can be used to prepare the most delicious fresh fish, as the kids play on the grass, or family members take a wonderful walk along our cottage road. Enjoy the tropical location of Old Banks Road, get away from the crowds, and marvel at the variety of tropical flora and fauna. A short walk along the path takes you to one of the most amazing, pink sand beaches in the world. Bring along the beach chairs and a cooler to enjoy hours and hours of fun. Your first sighting of the turquoise waters of the Atlantic Ocean will take your breath away. This incredible beach can be traveled for miles. Spend your day tanning, shelling, wading by the reef, snorkeling, watching the dolphins, boogie boarding, or building sandcastles. A short drive away is French Leave Beach, Twin Coves, the Naval Beach, and the calm waters of Cocodimama. The choices are endless. Plus, you are only a short walk from Sky Beach Club, with Pascal's Restaurant, Sammy’s swim-up bar, oceanfront infinity pool, hot tub, and resort amenities. And Orchid Cottage is only a few minutes' drive from the lovely town of Governor's Harbour, with its century homes, restaurants, stores, and library. If you require more space, our three-bedroom house (Shangri-La) is also available. It has an open concept design with soaring ceilings and is located a short distance from Orchid Cottage. Each property offers nice privacy, with large palm trees and foliage between the two. Shangri-La and Orchid Cottage would allow your large group extended space and privacy.

For us this vacation rental was an excellent choice. Private, tropical, steps from the ocean and old Banks Road yet under 10 minutes from groceries and great spots to eat. Nicely decorated and appointed. Ample size for our family of four!

Once again this cottage did not disappoint. To us this is the best location on the island, old banks road is so peaceful. The cottage and grounds are, clean, warm, inviting. We considered this our home away from home, our two weeks are never enough. Already booked next year !!!❤️��❤️

Orchid Cottage is a light, peaceful gem. The house is steps from the Atlantic -and you fall asleep listening to the waves. We particularly enjoyed the porch for watching birds, reading, drinking coffee. Governor's Harbor is minutes away. Highlights include the Buccaneer's Club (the best conch fritters) , Island Farms fresh vegetables and bread, Location gift shop, and a day snorkeling and fishing with Big Mac. The house is just as pictured and includes everything you might need. Lachandra was welcoming and helpful. This was our first time in Eleuthera, and we can't wait to return.

Loved it!

Orchid Cottage was the sweetest spot for our holiday on Eleuthera. Centrally located near Governor’s Harbour we were a short drive from the market, shops and restaurants. The within a 1 minute walk to the beach was awesome. We enjoyed our low tide and Old Banks Road walks. The owner, Shawna, was so kind and accommodating - answering all our questions and providing great guidance and recommendations. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Memories Made

The Orchid cottage is equipped with all that is needed for a most comfortable stay. Beautiful touches to a space well cared for. Spent a great deal of time on the front porch curled up with a good book listening to the roar of the Atlantic. The beach and the swimming absolutely incredible! Old Banks road is the perfect pathway for a stroll to visit Pascal’s, the neighbourhood bar and grill where you will be welcomed like an old friend! We had a most wonderful time!

The Orchid Cottage was the perfect, cozy and clean place for our 3 days spent in Eleuthera. We were welcomed with a snack, water and cold Bahamian drinks. The cottage is a 2 minute walk to a beautiful beach that was basically private. The hosts provided beach chairs, towels, snorkeling gear and more! They were also extremely helpful with suggesting places to go, and answering all our questions. We also felt very safe as the cottage is located in a gated community. We had a great experience and would highly recommend. Thank you!

A perfect getaway

A perfect getaway

We love the cottage! We've been staying here since 2013. It is perfect for our needs. Close to the Ocean and GH, which has restaurants, grocery stores, gift shops, gas and more. And it's in the middle of the island so not far to go to beaches north or south.
The property managers are the very best. They have become friends over the years. You will not find better owners. They truly want you to have the best experience during your stay. And will do everything
to remedy any concerns you may have during your stay.
The cottage is clean and has everything you need for
meals, sleeping and going to the beach. We continue to recommend the cottage to all our friends and family.

You won't need to bring anything but your duds and plenty of dollars for groceries and restaurants. Guess you have to pay for paradise. O cottage is centrally located mid island so perfect for exploring. Overall Orchid cottage exceeded expections and the people who live here have to be the nicest anywhere. WOULD RECOMMEND STAYING HERE ANY TIME.
