About this house rental

Located in Venice Beach, this attractive house for $625 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Welcome to 114 Pacific. It is our objective to make your stay as comfortable and pleasurable as possible. Feel free to contact Lee Tonks (manager/broker) of Tonks Agency Inc if you have any questions or concerns during your stay. To start with, you are just a block from the amazing Santa Monica sunsets, don't miss them, they are incredible and year round we have some spectacular sunsets, definitely not to be missed, or better still, if you don't want to leave the house, pop up to the roof top deck with a glass of Chablis. The house temperature is controlled via the Nest controller in the living room, please be conscious of your carbon footprint when setting the heating or A/C. You will find a remote control for each of the TV's on the dressers or tables close to the TV set. Please observe the "6 person maximum" requirement for the rooftop deck. The rooftop deck is constructed with a safety load of 6 people please do not have more than 6 people at a time. The gardener (Raul) comes every Wednesday and he will bring in the trash, The trash is picked up on Tuesday morning so if the trash cans are full please take them out to the street on Monday evening, if you would like assistance with this please let us know in advance. Please be security conscious, make sure that all access points are secure after entry and when you leave. Pay attention to make sure that the doors close properly behind you, pay extra attention to make sure that the side gate is securely locked. There are security cameras on the exterior of the building. The first camera is close to the front door, a second camera is on the side alley near the trash cans and a third camera is on the spiral staircase pointing towards the back yard. These camera's are for your safety and security and are in no way intended to monitor our guests. The property owner, who lives in the property as his primary residence while he is in the country has always felt very safe in the home but we are in a major city and as with all major cities one has to exercise caution with regards to security. Please feel free to ask your host to point out exactly where the cameras are upon entering the home. Please be mindful of the parking restrictions on the street in front of the home, tickets can be quite expensive, the 2 car garage is there for your use. The property owner has taken one parking space for his own car but there is still space for 2 economy sized cars in the garage. As you reverse out of the garage there is a safety mirror on the north side wall so that you can see oncoming traffic, please use caution as people tend to not pay attention to signs and speed limits in Los Angeles. The inability to drive is definitely an LA Thing! Sonos Login to the wifi via your sonos app and you are good to go Now to the good stuff! best places for breakfast: The Rose Cafe 220 Rose Ave, Venice, CA 90291 http://therosevenice.la/ A short walk away is the Rose Cafe, located on Rose Ave just across from Main street, about a 5 minute walk from you. Best seating is on the outdoor patio to the side of the restaurant. The rear patio is OK but the big patio is best. The food is impeccable and the coffee will take the enamel off your teeth but will give you a kick all day long. My favorite breakfast on the menu is the Neroni Style, two eggs sunny-side-up, braised bacon, fried potatoes, country bread, butter, seasonal jam. Yummy! Monday through Friday they are open for breakfast from 8am until 10 am and then lunch from 10am until 3pm and then they close for 2 hours between 3pm and 5pm but then open again for dinner until 10 pm. Saturday and Sunday they are open for brunch between 9am and 4pm A slightly longer walk is The Great White Cafe on Main Street in Venice, the food is absolutely delicious. https://greatwhite.cafe/ 1604 Pacific Ave, Venice They are open daily from 8am - 10 pm My favorite breakfast is the Great White Brekkie followed up with a lashing of Sourdough Bread Pudding, but you'll definitely need to head over to Golds Gym Venice AKA the Mecca for a workout after breakfast. A cool "Venice Locals" Hang out spot for coffee is Groundwork Coffee on Rose Ave in Venice, just 1 block west of Lincoln Blvd at 671 Rose Ave. Te coffee is Kick Ass and locals have been getting their daily fix there for decades, the guys that you see sitting on the bench every morning are the same guys who have been frequenting the establishment each morning for the last 30 years. Another cool spot to grab a muffin and coffee is the Cows End on Washington blvd in Marina del rey, it's not that far but if you are like most Angelenos walking isn't our thing so jump in an Uber and head to 34 Washington Blvd. in Marina del rey. This is another locals hangout with killer coffee and if you sit outside and look up you'll see a life sized carving of a cow suspended from the third floor sign, I'm a little partial to that cow's back end as I made the sign 20 years ago and glad to say its rear end is holding up very well. For lunch take a walk up Abbot Kinney Blvd and hit up Gjelina (make a reservation for sure) or dinner at the tasting Kitchen, both are great spots and excellent for people watching.
