Die Aussicht und der Whirlpool waren sehr schön. Es gibt eine tolle Grillstelle und viele Sitzmöglichkeiten draußen die wir gerne genutzt haben.
Bei Regen war es sehr laut im Haus sodass wir nicht schlafen konnten. Es war sehr feucht und recht kalt im Haus. Es gibt Heizmöglichkeiten, aber es hat nicht jede funktioniert.
Das Internet ist sehr langsam.
Es wird immer ein Auto benötigt um die Unterkunft zu verlassen.

The property is located on a farm on the edge of La Orotava, up a steep hill, is private and not overlooked. A car is essential for the area - there is a large parking area which is secured by a private gate.
There is a view of the volcano, the valley, the local seafront town of Puerto de la Cruz and across the sea. There is lots of room outside including a shaded outdoor kitchen/BBQ, fire pit, a lawn, hot tub and sun loungers with seating areas for dining, enjoying the view or star gazing.
Facilities inside are as per the photos. There is a blue-tooth speaker to listen to your own music, a good size TV with Netflix etc and a comfortable sofa. We are a couple and stayed for a week and found the kitchen had what we needed to prepare meals.
Check in was easy, the host arranged meeting via WhatsApp and met us to drive up the farm track and show us around the property. We contacted via WhatsApp a few time - always responsive.
The location is very hilly which means driving is essential. Local taxis are available and inexpensive and will meet at the end of the track, but be aware walking back up the track to the property is very steep and not suitable for some people. La Ovotava is a very quiet place, there are a few restaurants/bars but not a lot going on, so arranging a trip into Puerto de la Cruz for dinner is recommended.
It would have been nice to have some coals/wood for the BBQ/firepit.
The property has a problem with air circulation which causes damp, the dehumidifier is noisy so not suitable to have on at night. The water tank provides enough hot water for one shower or two very quick ones - you will need to coordinate!
The radiator in the bedroom was not working - we visited in Dec and it gets cold in the evening - so it was not the cozy Christmas environment we anticipated.
The bed is sagging, this has been noted in other reviews, because of this we didn't get a good nights rest. If this is rectified we would absolutely stay again next year. The local farm dogs howl to each other across the fields at night. If you are a light sleeper this could be quite disruptive.

We had a wonderful stay at this house! It was very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The view is absolutely stunning. Anne was extremely nice and welcoming. We especially enjoyed the board games, barbecue area, sun loungers, jacuzzi, sound bar, TV, and the very well-equipped kitchen — it had everything you need for cooking.
A few things to note for future guests:
- The internet connection is very unstable; is not a fiver internet , it is a mobile network - 6 MB/sec, we couldn’t join to our video conferences from the job, so keep this in your mind if you have to work.
- there is no air conditioning, so when it’s very hot outside the air can feel heavy. The windows don’t have insect screens, which makes it difficult to keep them open.
- When the clouds are low, the humidity rises and you can sometimes smell mold — the dehumidifier struggles to keep up.
- The wall mounted radiator from the bedroom is not working.
- Also, if you’re staying longer, the jacuzzi requires special maintenance and chemicals to keep the water clean.
