We had an absolutely lovely stay at Casa Hibiscus. The owners are wonderful, conscientious, and super friendly. It’s very clear they are passionate about the place and they get all the little details right, from the general vibe of the place to fresh breakfast and spotless rooms. The location is ideal to explore Cuenca, with restaurants, cafes, and museums just around the corner. The proximity to the river for walking/running is another bonus. We stayed for a week and had the loveliest time.

Very comforting accommodation close to Banos with privacy and more rest than in the city center. The host, Patricia, was very welcoming and even let us do our washing on the first day of arriving, which was very much needed after hiking Cotopaxi and Quilotoa. The true cherry on top of the pie was Perlita, the house cat, who came to our room during the evenings and mornings to cuddle with us. Thanks for the lovely stay.
Only complaint was that the shower in our room was either scorching hot or ice cold, not really an in between.

Mark and Alonzo were excellent hosts. Great recommendations. Perfect location. Close to restaurants and attractions.
