Stayed at Abeel for a girls weekend, nice open layout with a kitchen that's got all the stuff we needed. The bedrooms are roomy, and the bathroom has this very cool claw foot tub. The occasional train passing by on the bridge didn't bother us. It was raining on the day we arrived, so we enjoyed the electric fireplace for big part of the day. I honestly don’t understand the bad reviews, the house matched exactly the description above. The house was very clean and everything was working just fine. Also, It's a short drive to some great restaurants and shopping spots and there’s a cute coffee shop close by (walking distance). Super convenient. Host was quick to respond all of our questions and make sure everything was smooth. I will definitely stay at this place again.

This house is not fit for human habitation, let alone making someone pay to sleep here. The moment you walk in you are hit with the overwhelming smell of mildew, and as you walk around it is clear they are aware of the problem and try to cover it with scented candles and diffusers. In addition they are clearly aware of a plumbing problem as they have tubes of fabric in various locations to catch water in the bathroom. When we first arrived at the rental we noticed that one of the ground floor windows was broken with shards of glass still littered on the ground, and when we came back from dinner there was water raining from the ceiling into the kitchen (from the bathroom above though no water was on upstairs). There is a lot of visible evidence of leaking all over the kitchen ceiling, and even some dishes with water in them from previous leaks. As someone with asthma, the pervasive mildew added injury to insult as breathing became difficult pretty quickly. Additionally, the downstairs AC unit doesn’t appear to work despite being brand new. Do not waste your money here.

We stayed here for a weekend while checking out the neighborhood. The apartment is elegant with a farmhouse style. Peaceful and right on the water. Not to mention claw foot tub! Perfect. Stoyan was very helpful and accommodating. Thank you!
