Great stay last week in Regensburg. I stayed in room 28 which was spacious, clean and very quiet. Coffee and 1 bottle of water in room each day. Location was great, you could walk to everything. I didn’t try breakfast, instead went to the many bakeries/coffee shops. Parking was my only complaint and a bit of a pain, but I figured it out after a few days (and same challenge for most city hotels). Here’s some tips:
- driving in the city can be stressful, pay attention to 1 way streets, bikes and pedestrians
- use Apple Maps vs Waze/google maps, far more accurate
- I would do an electric car next time, always had open spots in garage and a couple of other spots
- look up the 3 to 4 parking garages online, they display the number of open spots. I had to wait a few nights when I returned as the Christmas markets brought lots of visitors into city
- I did a couple of long walks the first two days to help get me oriented.
This was my 3rd time to Regensburg, but first time staying in city. I would absolutely stay here again.
