This was my fourth stay at Southern Haven. Came for a short time period. The location is idyllic as the beach is literally a stone's throw away and getting to Vieux Fort from there is quite easy. It is located in Laborie village itself,so hearing people go about their day-to-day life is not uncommon but I do not mind it.
The host,Laura, was very responsive to any queries that I had had. The apartment was cosy and comfortable. Water pressure was good; the hot and cold features worked well. The AC was also good. Just like my previous experiences,I really liked staying there😄
There could have been bottled water in the refridgerator. Really comes in handy when arriving on a hot day!
A hot grill plate for the stove is needed ,since there is no microwave.

The hosts were friendly and helpful- we were met on arrival and we were much later than we planned, so our greeter had left, but came back promptly.
The place was spacious and comfortable.
The location was excellent in terms of access to the beach and was near to bars and places to eat.
Some parking available close by.
The kitchen was kitted out with the bare minimum in terms of food prep, the fridge/freezer was grubby on arrival, but we ate out well and cheaply at the lovely local places. There was a laundry room but it was locked, so washing had to be done by hand.
It was noisy in the evenings, early mornings, loud music being played in cars passing and parking outside.
There were a lot of ants, we had to throw away some food bought from a supermarket.
One night, we had tiny red ants in the bedroom and even in the bed. Our host offered to come and spray insecticide if we had them again.
