About this condo rental

Located in Windsor, this charming condo for $286 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Welcome to The Lucien! Located inside what the New York Times called “one of the most exciting design renewal neighborhood projects in the country”. This spacious, fully renovated 19th century Brush Park condo located in the historic Lucien S. Moore historic “French Second Empire” mansion will charm you with its modern amenities and marvelous past. The Lucien S. Moore Mansion was famously saved from ruin and rebuilt by HGTV and has been converted into six apartments. This walk-up unit is located on the second floor of the house. It features exposed brick, new wood floors, high recessed tray ceiling, and street facing bay windows. It was recently completely reworked by a local Detroit designer to honor its long legacy with an emphasis on capturing the excitement of Detroit’s remarkable revival. This nearly 1400 square foot Brush Park condo is unique as it features two queen-sized beds in spacious bedrooms and two full bathrooms, one of which is connected to the master bedroom. It has a subscription-active Peloton for guest use. The kitchen includes a gas stove, a wet bar with wine fridge, updated stainless steel appliances and all of the cookware and utensils you’ll need during your stay. If you are in need of food supply, no worries! Whole Foods is only a 10 min walk away. If a more relaxing visit is in order you will be greeted by 4k smart-tv’s in both the bedroom and the living room. If looking for fun that doesn’t require a plug, playing cards and board games are included! The walk-up apartment (unit #5) is all yours! The unit is on the second floor so it’s important to note there is no elevator. Please do not attempt to access any other units in the house. //NEIGHBORHOOD OVERVIEW Although this condo is loaded with creature comforts, we recommend you get out and explore Detroit’s many local cultural attractions including the Detroit Institute of Arts, Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Contemporary Art Museum, Eastern Market, Little Caesars Arena, Comerica Park, Ford Field, and our award winning Detroit Riverfront all of which are walking distance from this Airbnb. And just because the sun goes down doesn’t mean you can’t continue your adventure with the added confidence of 24-hour vehicle patrolled security throughout Brush Park. If Detroit’s renown culinary scene is more your flavor we strongly recommend you begin each day at For The Love of Sugar and Saucy Coffee, both only a block away. If an evening out is on your agenda take a moment to enjoy the many spectacular sunsets that accompany this western facing unit and then walk one block over to Bar Pigalle, Grey Ghost and Bakersfield; some of our favorite restaurants. Parking for one vehicle in an individual secured garage located behind the house is included in your reservation. There are no other accessible spaces on property. NOTE: If you park on property outside of the assigned garage, you will be towed. This is a tight city-garage which requires 3-4 point turns so please plan to park on the street if you are uncomfortable with this or driving a large truck/SUV. While the neighborhood is broadly patrolled 24/7 by private security we, as hosts, are not responsible for any damage or theft that occurs to vehicles parked on the street. //PARKING Parking for one vehicle in an individual secured garage located behind the house is included in your reservation.
