I stopped by for one night on my drive back home north. This is a wonderful hotel/spa! The room is divine! It's large, modern and the bed is very comfy! The staff is top-notch!

The stay here was wonderful! All of the employees were super friendly and welcoming! Everything was clean even in a pet friendly room. We brought our dog and they even offered a dog bed for him. Had a facial with Daniel that was amazing! He addressed skin concerns and left my skin looking dewy and refreshed! The spring fed hot tub is huge (16 people) which was nice to have to ourselves one of the nights. The pool was also warm and felt so nice. Great ambiance at night and open until 11 pm so you can see the stars!! Would definitely stay here again!

Lift for disabled was broken. Iwas stuck in.the lift several times. The shower was said to be ADA compliant, but the tile was slippery, the door was not tight and water seeped out to the rest of the bathroom making it extremely slippery. The controls for the shower were on the front wall, nut the hand held shower held was attached to.the back wall of the shower making it.very difficult to.use. The hotel was located in.a bad neighborhood was was not conveniently located to.any restaurants.

Absolutely in love with this boutique hotel. Kendra was extremely understanding in helping me move my check in date because hotels.com couldn’t do it for me without the hotels approval- I had a dental emergency. Check in was quick. Room was exceptionally clean and comfortable! Simple continental breakfast, hot tea available availability in the lobby and coffee machine, microwave and mini fridge in the room. Adults only which is an added bonus. Pretty much was at the pool alone and took a relaxing nap! 15-18 minutes drive to downtown Palm Springs if you have a car. Definitely returning next time and staying here!! Thank you Kendra and staff!!

The hotel itself is very trendy, clean, and comfortable! This was by far one of the best nights of sleep we've had in a hotel. The front desk staff is kind, attentive, and welcoming! The only things keeping me from giving a 5/5 rating is the spa services were subpar for the price. I left with several scratches due to untrimmed nails. Other than that, we had a great stay!

The Onsen is a Beautiful Hotel and Spa ! The hot tub and pool fed with hot mineral water is a perfect way to relax. The amenities are perfect and one couldn’t ask for better people or service at The Onsen! Our new favorite hotel when visiting Palm Springs or Joshua Tree!

The staff Ivan is very helpful and accommodating. he checked us in and even helped my bag. He offered to cook a new pot of coffee late afternoon when I try to get some coffee. He even dropped by and notified me when coffee is ready. Also he was running the whole breakfast hour to refill all courses to ensure everyone has enough to eat. We can’t say enough about how we appreciate his service. The property itself is newly renovated building and well designated with nice outdoor Pool and good jacuzzi. I enjoyed it very much.

This place is special—friendly staff overseeing a quaint, clean, and comfortable space. John and Tracy are wonderfully kind and make you feel at home. Be sure to take a relaxing night swim in the “hot” pools. Will return!

Amazing place..it’s a little off the beaten path, about 20min from Palm Springs.once you’re in the gate you will be sooo glad you have arrived!! George greeted us warmly and took care of all our needs.he was amazing! Tracy also was very attentive to is the next morning during breakfast.if you are looking for a beautiful, peaceful serene get away..THIS is the place..we’ll be back for sure!

This was my second time visiting Palm Springs but the first time coming to Desert Hot Springs and I'm so glad I chose Onsen. Tracy checked us in and was so nice and Charles brought me real silverware to eat my takeout by the pool. The highlight 24 hour pool and hot tub then the breakfast in the morning was a perfect way to start the day and my birthday twin 😊 was awesome! I can not wait to return and will stay 2 nights next time.

This place was amazing. Very comfortable! John and Ivy were great, very personable. The breakfast was good and so was the happy hour snacks and wine/ beer. The pool is wonderful. Quiet, clean, comfortable. We hope to come back sometime!

Pools were beautiful, room nicely done with high-end linens, bathroom had great shower and adequate storage. We had to adjust to not having a closet; extra hangars for pegs were provided and there was drawer space. Breakfast in lobby was a plus (please have fresh berries instead of frozen!) The billboard sign is dark and hard to see so property is hard to find. It’s a 25 min drive to Palm Springs where we went daily, as there’s not much happening in Desert Hot Springs. Property opened only 2 months ago so requisite glitches need to be worked out. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful! Kendra was a lovely host and John was always available for property or maintenance issues! Thank you and much good luck to you moving forward!

This hotel is so lovely and I'm so glad to have found it. It's an old motel building but entirely renovated with lovely decor and a very relaxing atmosphere. The location is very quiet, a short drive from the main street in Desert Hot Springs. Relaxing and quiet. Highlights: - VERY lovely pool and hot tub- Needs work: - No luggage racks in the room - No microwaves - Some guests were smoking at the pool which was not pleasant, clear signage would perhaps help - yoga and meditation listed on their website are not yet/currently available.
