Romana was so lovely and helpful. Surprised us with wine & snacks for our stay, and was very responsive when we had an issue with the power cutting out.
The location is great, close to main attractions, easy walking to Spanish Steps, Pantheon, Trevi, Villa Borghese etc. lots of restaurants, great shopping!
We have to agree with other reviewers, that the main bathroom/shower is not adequate - hand held shower over bath with not enough height space to stand underneath the shower if you try to mount it on the bracket provided. We are fairly short - my husband is 5ft 8” and didn’t fit. There is a definite very strong dank/mouldy smell that never went away, even though we left the window open. Very unpleasant, unfortunately the bathroom sliding door does not move so we couldn’t close off the smell from the walk through closet - we just didn’t use the walk through closet to store our clothes.
The second shower room is a hand held shower over a bidet - we didn’t use this room at all.
The kitchen requires under bench lighting to see what you are doing in the evening - we used our phone torches instead. Also light on for utensils etc.
Apartment is adequate, but for the price charged needs deep cleaning, upgrading of ventilation in the bathroom and showers (suggest: remove the bath and put in a walk in shower), under cupboard strip lighting in the kitchen.
This is a beautiful old building, which we appreciate has limitations to renovation, electricity etc, but these issues could be resolved regardless.
