This property was the perfect base for enthusiastic shellers. Just minutes away from the ferry that takes one to Shackleford Banks and/or Cape Lookout. Beautiful sunsets on the sound and extremely relaxing!

House was gorgeous and so was the view. Had a great time taking the ferry to Cape Lookout and Fort Macon Atlantic beach was only 30 minutes away. We will be back!

My family just finished a 10 day getaway at this wonderful property on Harkers Island - we were so sad to leave! The island is situated in a perfect spot - close to many things like the Cape Lookout ferry, the Core Sound waterfowl museum and historic downtown Beaufort which has many restaurants and attractions - while being remote enough to experience the tranquility and splendor of an island getaway. There are grocery stores very close by for essentials whilst for greater selection the supermarkets in Beaufort are the closest and well stocked. Jamy and Marcia are wonderful hosts, very responsive and provided everything we needed to have a great vacation at their property. The cottage is almost brand new construction but feels very homey with lovely seaside decor and furnishings. All the appliances, including air conditioner (important this time of year!) are new and worked great. We loved sitting on the deck watching sunsets and shooting stars and highly recommend this Lighthouse Lookout island getaway!

My wife and I booked our anniversary getaway and took a chance on a brand new listing that didn’t have reviews. My my were we pleased with our decision. Fantastic location right on the water. A view of Shackleford Banks, peaceful area with no noise or disruptions. The hosts are so thoughtful; the rental experience is made to feel personable and like you’re borrowing a dear friends home for the weekend. The home is immaculate, appears to be brand new construction. It was super clean, well stocked with blankets and towels, and games and other thoughtful touches. This is the best experience I’ve ever had with vacation rentals. Fantastic hosts, I can’t state that enough. I do not have one negative thing to say about this place. We had such a great time!!

The pictures of this home doesn't do it justice. This home felt so warm and inviting, the beds were very comfortable and the island of harkers is a slice of heaven. The owners were very nice and communicated via text which I greatly appreciate. They texted me to make sure we were ok and to see if we needed anything. The sunrises and sunset were magnificent. The owners also added some really nice personalized touches for are stay which the kids really liked. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet relaxing getaway 😊

Wow!! This is our best experience with a vacation rental ever!! The hosts were extremely communicative and left plenty of information about area restaurants & sights to see. The home itself was beautifully decorated & comfortable. We did not want for anything! Exactly as advertised! A well stocked kitchen was definitely a plus. Comfortable bedding & furniture made for a relaxing stay for my long birthday weekend. Not to go unmentioned we’re the beautiful views from the home, out almost every window & off the rear deck. My husband & I had a fantastic trip & wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again, in fact we’ve recommended it to a few folks already! Thanks again!

We stayed for a long weekend. We love the quiet location and close proximity to Island Express Ferry. The house is beautiful and the perfect size for one or two couples or a small family. The owner was also super sweet and let us know as soon as the house was ready and checked on us Saturday night when the winds really picked up. The weather didn't really allow us to take advantage of the outdoor seating to watch the sunset but the location is wonderful. Dining is very limited on the island but there is always the option to cook, Beaufort and the other beach towns are a reasonable drive, and the Fish Hook Grill is just down the road from the house. We ended up at the grill twice and the food was great. They also have the best whiskey sour. We will definitely keep this as our first option the next time we plan a trip to the area and highly recommend it.

What a beautiful place to spend quality time with family! This listing was even better than we expected. We had never been to Harkers Island and it definitely lived up to its reputation. From hanging out by the water, shelling, fishing off Cape Lookout and just relaxing in this gorgeous home, we had the best time! The hosts were absolutely amazing and very responsive to all of our needs. We highly recommend!
