Everything, especially the treatment we got from the property manager's husband was absolutely unfriendly and unprofessional. Zero customer service, no empathy was so ever. Gyser was not switched on on arrival, while they were expecting us, fridge was also off. TV had no interesting channels to watch, how do you call that " a holiday home? or home away away from home???? Microwave was not working, couldn't even warm my food. To top it all there were no detergents (dishwashing liquid/ handy-andy) to assist the visitor to keep the flat as clean as expected, we were then told that we need to buy our own, we will be penalized for using the ones that we came across hidden on the wardrobes in one of the bedrooms as those are "company's tools". I have never been so shocked, disappointed and disrespected by a host while on holiday. My vacation was totally ruined, I regretted booking that apartment for vacation and having to drive more than 7 hours to get to that destination, I and my family totally dissatisfied and extremely disappointed. After so many years of my vacation experience with Booking.com and all the holiday homes I have booked in Amanzimtoti, changing the location to Margate was my worst nightmare, now I understand why people say "stick to what you know". How do even expect me to clean a holiday apartment when am on vacation because if /I don't clean it /keep it clean I will penalized by paying a R200 levy, couldn't they just include it on the booking fee money? I left my home to be on holiday and when I get there I needed to be a maid???????????????? What an awful experience. Margate is total no no for me, never shall I go there ever again.
