Situated in James Island, this charming house for $750 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Stunning waterfront location, epic sunset views, 400ft dock, beach access, huge screen porch, and completely remodeled with high-end appliances and furniture. This is what makes the Washout Sea Cabin a truly unique Folly Beach rental. We are Folly Locals, not a company, that live on the island full-time, and only share our residence on special occasions. Bring your rods, bikes, paddleboards, and beach toys and get ready to enjoy Folly Beach from one of the best spots on the island. The space: We completely restored this classic 1961 ocean view cottage and are excited to share it with friends and family! Our location is one of the most unique on the island, the "Washout," where the river and ocean are just 200 feet apart. The large, grassy yard boasts panoramic views of the Folly River, and the 400f long dock is an amazing spot for sunsets, happy hour, fishing or paddleboarding. The primary living space on the second floor features an open layout kitchen with a 14' kitchen island, Italian appliances, on-demand hot/cold filtered water, and farmhouse sink. You'll find a generous primary king bedroom, with en-suite bath, his + her sinks, and walk-in shower, along with two additional efficiency queen bedrooms and a second full-bath in the hallway (see detailed floorplan in photos). The breezy 450sqft screen porch features high-end furniture, outdoor dining area, and stunning river and ocean views. Th house is equipped with x-finity wifi (1,000mb DOWN/25mb UP), Apple TVs, a Youtube TV subscription, and a SONOS speaker system across 3 zones (including outdoor). Downstairs you'll find additional living quarters with a King Bedroom Suite, living room with TV, full bath, and kitchen. Please note, the downstairs kitchen will include some essentials, but not a full suite of cookware. In total, four bedrooms: two king suites, and two queen bedrooms. Outside enjoy a beautiful yard along with two separate hot/cold outdoor showers, plenty of under-house storage for golf carts (must be rented from a local company) surfboards and beach gear, and great sitting areas on the wrap-around decks, storage barn (not included in rental), or pierhead at the end of our dock. The entire property has been lovingly landscaped with barefoot-friendly sod, low-voltage lighting, LED's on the dock, and thoughtful touches throughout. Our creek is tidal but offers great fishing and crabbing and higher tides, as well as access to the estuary for the intrepid paddleboarder or kayaker. (Please note the ladder access, oysters and tides make launching only suitable for advanced paddlers). The property offers stunning views of the Morris Island Lighthouse, Cooper River Bridge, Atlantic Ocean and the Folly River. Our home has been lovingly remodeled and tastefully furnished because it is our primary residence when we are in town. This is not your typical "quick and dirty" Folly Beach Rental, we are seasoned Mom+Pop Airbnb hosts, not a management company, and sharing our personal, primary residence with your family to enjoy. This is not a house for parties or large gatherings. We ask that you treat our home with great care and respect. Thank you to Andy and family for sharing your home! It is a peaceful, private and absolutely gorgeous family home! Andy shared with us a google doc full of info of the history of the property and island. We were honored to stay there before even setting foot on the property. Our entry, close to midnight, my husband and our teens were blown away. The porch with the ocean breezes, the artist touches in every room… This is not in any way your typical Vrbo rental, and count yourself lucky if you are able to stay in this home. There is so much love here, and it is evident on every room, every drawer and every shelf and every stone. As if that weren’t enough, Andy is obviously a resident and not an investor - the recommendations were all outstanding, we felt we had the “in” on the heartbeat of the island - thanks Andy! Enough so that the family said, “Well, if Andy says it’s good, it’s going to be amazing!” How great to have your own personal tour guide. And he was prompt with anything he could offer to enhance our stay! Of course we all come for the beach but…hit the backyard at sunset - heaven! Enjoy the peace of the marsh evenings and the setting sun! This is something you don’t get oceanfront, and I’m starting to appreciate the second row! Great spot for my husband and I to unwind on our own! Beachfront three houses down - not even a walk! Accesses the beach on this island are well established. Also, displaying the rules in opportune spots definitely keeps the cleanliness and reverence to their stewardship of this island. Plenty of places to explore, my almost-out-of-the-house teen daughter and I had some lifetime memories exploring . Oh, I could go on and on, rent this home, you will be changed by it!
