The location was amazing, the sound of the stream was delightful. The hut is just round the corner from Glen sannox and a short drive to the start of the corrie to goatfell trail. Also a lovely walk to and around the beach. The midge/insect netting over the windows was a life saver and meant we could open the windows without getting eaten alive. Didn't use the fire pit provided as it was a bit wet but it's great to have it as an option. Well stocked kitchenette with complementary snacks and a wee carton of milk in the fridge. The place was spotless too. If you're feeling brave go for a dook in the river!
Unfortunately, possibly due to the location next to the river, it was quite damp, it didn't dampen 😉 our spirits too much, we just kept our clothes and bags off the floor. There is no visible signs of mould at all, just a bit of a smell which dissapated once the windows were open so perhaps a trade off for the location. Didn't meet the hosts but they sent all the check in info via booking.com. A new guest book is required as the old one is full and had been since 2024! I love sitting reading what other guests got up to on their visit so it would of been nice to have a current one to peruse and add to.

Loved the shepherds hut and little garden. It was lovely to sit out at night time. Nice and clean. The small details like tea bags, hot chocolate and milk was great.

In the perfect location for exploring Arran and has surrounding beaches and streams. Very quiet and peaceful felt like you had privacy

Equiped kitchen and comfy bed;
Owner reacted fast;
- humid place: damp, moldy towels day after; wet floor; smell (mold); no ventilation
- no possibility to open window without midges coming in
- no Wi-Fi (in 2026!)
- location: next to road, and terrace has no wind so plenty of midges
- no clear sign at the road
- ridiculous amount for hot tub (100 GBP)
