The house was perfect. The website photos don’t do justice to how open, airy and relaxing the venue is. There are two huge opening doors from the kitchen and living areas that open the whole house up to the covered verandah, so we effectively lived outside for the week. It was perfect. Our host was brilliant. Welcoming and informative, we received all the local tips on arrival. The house is perfectly located minutes from the heritage precinct, as well as just down the hill from the township. (Not that anything is far away on Norfolk!) Because of this and because the museum passes cover the whole stay, we were able to do a little bit of the Kingston precinct each and every day, rather than try to see the whole lot at once. This was perfect for two boys with the attention span of gnats. The outdoor shower was perfect for post Emily Bay snorkelling (insider tip- wait til low tide and the coral is that much closer. We got the insider tip from the house guest book where previous guests have given their top ideas from their stay. It’s well worth the read at the start of the holiday!) The kitchen was great but the BBQ was greater. The evening aperitif walk across to the watermill (another insider tip) was another daily highlight.

We enjoyed staying at Lisa’s Millhouse. It was clean and comfortable and thoughtfully decorated, including quality bedding and linen. We were welcomed by Errol who gave us a great rundown of the house. The location was fantastic and we loved the walks from the front door . We also enjoyed the visits from the nit so wild chickens. The whole atmosphere was relaxing with lots of lovely little extras in the kitchen . The pay it forward pantry was a great idea. Thankyou for the helpful communication
