Quaint home steps from Plum Cove Beach in Lanesville, a seaside village in Gloucester MA.
The house was built in the late 1800's. It has old charm with wood floors throughout and cozy small rooms. Much of the house has been upgraded for more modern comfort with all new windows, doors, kitchen with granite breakfast counter, full bathroom, heating system, central air, ceiling fans, and lots of New England charm. You will find the wood stairs to the second floor are original to the house and are slightly steeper than the present day code. The landscape is naturalized with granite walls and stairs from our local quarries.
Gloucester is peaceful and quiet during the winter months. The Cape Ann coastline is picturesque in its winter glory, a truly magical place for a winter retreat. The warmer months offer a huge range of seaside activities. Gloucester is truly a gem.

We were lucky to return to this location and found this property on the vrbo site. Nancy communicated so well throughout. The house is literally 1 minute walk to the beach! A lovely cove with delightful sunsets. The property itself was perfect! It could have been our real home it had everything we needed. All the little items like coffee, toiletries, herbs etc etc. Nancy has really thought it out well. Great place for families with little ones too as it has a cot and lots of toys. A lovely decking to catch the morning sun too with a coffee! The parking is tight but totally manageable. We could have a walk both ways to see the lovely area. Near to Gloucester harbour and Rockport. Would definitely recommend staying here. Book now!

This was a terrific experience! The place was spotless, all the small amenities were there. Literally, you just had to bring yourselves and your clothes. The host was 100% responsive to any inquiry. Recommend both the host and the house highly.
