Enjoy ocean views and sunsets, beautiful, bright light, and a clean, minimal space somewhere between boho and mid-mod. Our hope is that you'll feel cozy and right at home. Just a 5-10 minute walk to the beach and almost anywhere downtown, breathtaking ocean views overlooking The Channel Islands with indescribable sunsets, and the most comfortable mattresses you could ever imagine. Whether you kick back with a glass of wine and enjoy sunset on the patio overlooking the ocean or grab a book and hop in the cozy hammock swing in the living room, you'll walk away refreshed from the ocean breeze + beautiful sun in your own private seaside getaway. To give you a little extra bounce in your step each morning, we provide locally roasted Prospect Coffee along with a French press to make your own morning brew! Unwind in the evening with the complementary bottle of wine we provide as a THANK YOU for choosing our space for your trip. Here's the bottom line: we both travel constantly for work as well as just to explore the world. We know exactly what you need to make your trip the best experience imaginable. We've intentionally crafted a space with every amenity you could ever need - from top rated mattresses to a fully stocked kitchen - in order to make your getaway the most relaxing and enjoyable possible. If you need anything from us while you're here, we're only a quick message or phone call away. We can't wait for you to enjoy The Escape! A few things to note for your stay: - As with almost all of Ventura, this apartment doesn't have A/C. With Ventura being a coastal town, it's very rare that you would even think of needing it, but on a rare occasions, temperatures might get a bit warmer than normal. Open doors & windows are usually more than enough but just be aware when booking! - As described, this is just blocks from downtown, which means it's near some main streets and car traffic noises. - Washer and dryer are COIN LAUNDRY in a separate building in the apartment complex.

The place was clean and decorated in a very relaxing manner. Close to shops and the beach. Not super fancy by any means but good enough for our quick weekend getaway.

Perfect location for a girls' trip. Walking distance to downtown. Place was clean and cute. Beds were very comfy. Would love to stay here again.

Absolutely Perfect! Thank you for being great hosts. Responsive, flexible and kind are great qualities to have as a host and you executed all of the above. Great place to stay. Prime location. All amenities available including beach towels if your looking to hit the beach! Clean and comfortable. Glad to have found this gem! Definitely staying here again!! Ty!

We were looking for a place to stay along our road trip between Hearst Castle and Los Angeles and found this charming VRBO. We arrived much later than we expected so it was dark and a bit difficult to find (the apartments/numbers do not face the main street) but we finally found the parking spot and the unit (take the set of stairs closest to the main street up to the 2nd floor). We loved the decor and clean/comfortable furnishings and appreciated the bottle of wine after the long drive. We had a delightful breakfast at Immigrant Son Caffe just a short drive away during the very festive downtown July 4th event. We wish we could have spent at least a couple more days in this unit and in Ventura and plan to go back!

This adorable apartment suited our needs (for a family of four). It was well stocked, clean, and had several nice touches. The retro-modern beach vibe style and decor were on pointe. The hosts were friendly and generally quick to respond, with the exception of our arrival when someone was in our reserved parking spot and we did not receive a response until the following morning, (which made unloading a bit of a hassle). Otherwise we were pleased. One downside is that the laundry is on the other end of the building, is coin operated, and only has one working dryer (2 washers) available for the entire building, so not ideal. We were not disturbed by any noise from the apartment neighbors, however it is adjacent a fairly busy street, so you definitely hear the traffic. The water pressure was awesome, and the bedding was very plush. Overall five stars :)
