An excellent small boutique hotel in historic Jacksonville. Beautifully furnished, quiet, exceptionally clean, and comfortable, it feels like home rather than a hotel. The restored historic building offers many places to sit and relax, both indoors and on its covered porches and patio. Breakfast was self-served in the upstairs bar area, and coffee, tea, and drinks are always available. Plenty of on-street parking is available, and it is within an easy walk of the historic downtown. It’s on our list for a return stay.

It is a beautiful property and very convenient and walkable to downtown.
Can’t think of anything that we didn’t like about the property or the proprietor. Nothing to do about the property or the staff but some of the restaurants are not open every day.

Every corner of the Magnolia hotel is lovely. The design aesthetic is fantastic. The kitchen had everything we needed--full-size fridge, storage, coffee, knives and cutting boards, cups and glasses. The room was sweet looking. The bathroom was roomy and nice. Shower pressure was great. Breakfast in the morning is good, you help yourself to yogurt, eggs, toast, granola, oatmeal, hard-boiled eggs and coffee. There are sitting areas outdoors to hang out and the living room is a nice place to visit too. Location is great.
The breakfast could use some fine tuning. The Keurig coffee maker is Very Loud and I bet the rooms nearby the kitchens are woken up by early risers. I'd love an option to eat downstairs instead. Our bed was the worst of our 18-day trip. Very uncomfortable and it shook anytime someone moved even the slightest. (My partner and I argued which was worse!) I have a feeling that if we booked this night direct we would have had a better room. (A women staying upstairs said her bed was great. We were downstairs. Rm 103.)
