Upton Arms Hotel

The place is a great little village pub, traditionally run, excellent beers and a great local welcome. If you want to know what it is like to live in a small village then stay here.

Firstly the room was pretty much spot on. Clean, quite spacious, bed was 2 singles pushed together, however it was comfortable. Checking in at the bar was quite uncomfotable, regulars staring etc. Was shown to our room by someone who was sat at the bar, not sure if they worked there or was just a customer. The stairs leading to the room from the pub was full of clutter, in fact everywhere you looked there was clutter and debri. On our return to the pub from our night out we were greeted with very loud music as there was a wedding on, this didn't bother us as it was turned off shortly after 11pm. We left around 9.30am and didn't feel like we wanted to go down into the pub to check out so we left the room door open with keys left in the door. Would we stay again? no I doubt it, we paid £75 for the night, suppose it wasn't too bad but would have expected a little better for the money. Tip: Improve customer relations. surrounding outside area need cleaning up especially the fire escape which we were allowed to use to come and go. Good luck
