Room was dated & not clean. We got what we paid for but would have felt more comfortable if it was cleaner. The mattress had springs in it that you could feel. We only chose this hotel because it was pet friendly but would not stay again if we were travelling without our dog.

My husband, two kids (13&10), dog and I checked in quite late after a rough winter drive from Steamboat. Check in was easy, and we found the pet friendly room comfortable and clean. We had our big truck loaded with two snowmobiles in the bed, and the parking lot was a tad tight but still doable. We did not try breakfast. I’d stay here again. Location was as described, very convenient.

I enjoyed staying here the staff are very friendly and go above and beyond to help customers. My son and I flew into IGunninson,Co and had no transportation to move around in town, this hotel picked us up from the airport and made us feel welcomed like family.

Good location. A bit outdated but still fine for a cheap hotel. I'd recommend better tissues in the rooms they felt like sandpaper and on winter days when your nose is a bit more runny, it leaves your face feeling raw.

It really is outdated and not upkept or modernize. Overpriced for what you get. Breakfast is poor quality abd hardly wnough seating. Toilet loe stains behind it in wall. Trim coming. Timied fan in bathroom for jacuzzi does not work.

Front desk employees were not pleasant to deal with. One tv in room didn't work. Floors hadnt been swept or mopped. Tub didnt work. Beds were like sleeping on a trampoline. A/C were nasty dirty. Dust everywhere. Woman working the breakfast was very rude. Sign said coffee available all day but door was locked & the guy at the counter didnt offer any help after I had asked him if coffee was available. We wont stay here again! looks and he wasnt

Staff used the room right next to us. They were playing music from India very loudly. They were also drinking and smoking on the balcony. We had to turn the A/C on high to drown out the noise. The room was not very clean. The register on the bath fan has not been cleaned in years. The jetted tub didn't look safe and there were stains on the walls.

We were in Gunnison to scatter ashes of my decreased mother as she wished. I had recently had spine surgery and so we stayed in the handicapped "accessible" room, which was (oddly) at the back of the property. My postoperative pain medication was stolen from my room while we were gone the next day, despite the Do Not Disturb sign. Conveniently, no (working) 'security' cameras had visibility of the room due to the stairs and brick planter in front of the door. It was the last room in the row with the door directly available to the side & rear of the building, and the street. Needless to say, I was in excrutiating pain for the remainder of our trip and filed a police report. DO NOT STAY HERE, unless you take all valuables with you when you are out! I feel very violated, disappointed, and quite disgusted with this business and/or area.

We were in Gunnison to take our granddaughter to a volleyball camp at Western State University, and required a room with two bedrooms. Wingate provided the perfect room for our needs!

No one was at the front desk and it was left unsecured when I arrived. Another guest had been waiting for 20 minutes and we waited an additional 10 minutes to check in. Upon checking in I needed to provide tax exempt status and was told the card was already charged. No effort was made to reverse the charge until later in the evening (without notification). When I emailed the manager with my concerns I received an insulting response.

I made my reservation in 9/22. I verified it again 4/23 for our stay in 5/23. They had lost the reservation so the front desk associate fixed the reservation and also honored the price I originally booked with, I had written proof. When I checked in with the kiosk, they would not honor the price! She kept putting me on hold/mute to supposedly speak to her manager.

Affordable motel in central Gunnison. A little confusion at check-in assigned me a room that wasn't made-up. The second room's trim around the bathroom door was pulled-out, I fixed it myself but housekeeping or maintenance should have caught that. Location is an easy walk to restaurants and breweries on Main Street.

Incredibly mediocre stay. Arrived just before 7 pm, front desk door was locked. Had to call the hotel and talked to a person not at the hotel who had to call the front desk person to come open the door. Took at least 20 minutes to get my keys and it was already -10 out. Front desk person didn't even apologize for the door being locked, just pointed to the kiosk to check in.Room was not cleaned super well, soaps, towels and trash were still the room from the previous guests. Room is in desperate need of an update. Breakfast was not very edible. If this is your only option to stay it's just ok, but I would try to stay somewhere else if I were you.

We had to check in with a kiosk. It wasn’t functioning well and took over 15 minutes to check in. We needed a roll away bed and no one was there to get us one. The parking lot was completely full and there was barely room to drive through the parked cars.

Worst checking ever. No human present only a KIOSK and a virtual assistant. It took 20 min for the person ahead of me to try to get a working room key. I checked in got my key and room number. The room I was issued was occupied! The person in that room was annoyed for being disturbed. He told me the first room he was issued was also occupied and had to go through the process of getting another room assignment. It took over 20 minutes for me to get keys to my reissued room. That meant the next person behind me had to wait 20 min and spend another 15 min at the KIOSK to get his room assignment. And realize it was -3*F outside which made walking back and fourth a very cold challenge. Your KIOSK systems have to many flaws to be used for the general use of checking in your customers. Worst system ever and pathetic that you use such a flawed check in system for us you loyal customers. If it happens again I’ll stop using hotel.com and I’ll do my own hotel search to make sure I have a real person to check me in and deal with any check in issues. THE WORST SYSTEM I’ve had to deal with in using virtual assistance.
