Staybridge Suites Detroit - Southfield by IHG

Quiet with a no Party Policy.

Check in was good for first stay. Booked 2 different days because my guest was staying for one evening then returning for another stay 2 days later. First day check in was great, Desk Clerk was pleasant and verified that I booked the room for my guest by simply asking for my ID. Upon return for the second day stay the Desk Clerk proceeded to grill me for my info. Driver's license, Credit card that I booked the reservation with, which proceeded to run again and kept saying that if I had not been present my guest would not have been able to check in. He reminded me 3 times. I had told him the first time I was aware of the policy and that was why I was there to begin with. This was the same Clerk that took off to respond to a smoke alert from a guest room as we walked in the door. We stood at the counter for 15 minutes listening to the phone ring and no security in lobby area. Not very safe to leave reception area unattended.

Breakfast was good with option to use paper or real plates.

It’s a long walk to the single set of elevators per floor when your room is at the other very end. Was wondering about efficiency of evacuation iif the exits are only at the very end.

Stuff was friendly and informative Parking was great

Nothing at all. I am satisfied

Everything was cute and clean.

The problems I had for a full day with my booking. They kept stating that I didn’t have a reservation. Then it went to having to pay at property when bookings took the money in full day before, and booking always seen i had a reservation
