We are very respectful of our neighbors and will not tolerate loud noise past curfew and additional guests at the property. Getting Around: - Center of downtown - shops, local eateries, and a small market store for groceries (3-5 minute walk) - Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk + Main Beach (30 minute drive) - The Forest of Nisene Marks State Park (30 minute drive) - Henry Cowell (15 minute drive) - The Mystery Spot (20 minute drive) - Capitola Village (30 minute drive) - Monterey Bay Aquarium (1 hour drive) Other Things to Note: - This is an older home with a lot of charm but also some quirks expected with older homes. For instance, the interior door hardware is original, floors creak and there's a staircase that's steeper than normal. - Additionally, this home is located in the redwoods so power outages are common in the area due to fire risk and other natural causes. Winters can bring a lot of unexpected weather conditions, including heavy rain, fallen trees, road conditions are variable. - Use of the outdoor fireplace is restricted during wildfire season (roughly July-October subject to changing weather). Please observe signage by the outdoor fireplace for current restriction status. Any use of the outdoor fireplace or use of open flame items outside (e.g., candles) during restricted time frames will result in a $500 fine. - We have landscapers, pest service, and other property maintenance done on a weekly basis. You may see or hear these service professionals during your stay as they let themselves into the backyard to service as needed.
