I was there already 3 years back. Ishara is the best Chef and Dasun is the best Yala park guide. We enjoyed every bit of it. Owners are welcoming and friendly. The apartment was clean and food simply delicious!

The location was amazing, the property was beautiful. The hosts were very warm and gracious and the food provided by them was wonderful.
There were lots of insects and lizards outside and inside the room.

We had such a wonderful stay at Lapwing Lake Villa. The food was absolutely amazing, they prepared delicious local dishes for us for both breakfast and dinner, and everything was fresh and full of flavor.
The room was very spacious and spotlessly clean, and the view over the lake was incredibly beautiful. We loved watching all the different birds, it felt so peaceful and special. The location is perfect if you want to relax, especially after spending time in the busy tourist areas.
On our second day, we did the Yala Park safari organized by the villa, and it was fantastic. Ishara was an excellent guide, we were lucky enough to see a leopard, along with many other animals. It was such an unforgettable experience! Staying at Lapwing Lake Villa makes it super easy and convenient to arrange the safari.
Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a calm, authentic, and well-organized stay near Yala.
We truly enjoyed everything about our stay and wouldn’t change a thing.
