Contrary to some of the poor reviews, check in was very easy and smooth. We received a text before arrival with everything we needed to know including parking advice and how to obtain the room key from a key safe by the entrance. The location was fantastic, with everything available nearby. The local pub and fish and chip shop prices were really good value considering this being a tourist hot spot and breakfast in the cafe downstairs (also run by the hotel owners) was great and also good value with a 10% discount for hotel guests.

Location
Staff did not respond to multiple emails, or messages. Check in process required us to make a phone call, but as international travellers, our phone had data only. Not responding to emails or messages through booking.com is unforgivable. Make sure you have means to make a phone call upon arrival.

Pretty location right outside the locks. Modern clean accomodation. Functional bathroom.
Very small room that was noisy. The room was made even smaller in that the ceiling sloped and so there was very little room to stand up. There was only 2 chairs to sit on and a small table that was so low you couldnt sit on a chair and use the table as a table due to lack of space and height of the table.
Thus was very expensive for such a small room with limited facilities. Bathroom was adequate but small. TV on the wall ws at 90 degrees to the 2 single beds so it would have been very difficult to watch tv without having to look at it sideways all the time.
