This hotel is worth every penny! The place is absolutely amazing you truly feel like you’re in paradise. The cleanliness was excellent, and the service was exceptional. Everyone made us feel like royalty and genuinely cared about our comfort.
We were initially worried that the hotel would be too far from the center, but it wasn’t far at all only about 10 minutes by car. The hotel also provides free transportation to and from the center. Even the short drive is enjoyable, as you get to see beautiful villages and forests along the way.
Thank you for the wonderful floating breakfast, the delicious afternoon tea, and the special photoshoot. A special thank you to Indra, our photographer, for capturing such beautiful photos.
You pay for your room and receive so many complimentary experiences that we actually didn’t have enough time to enjoy them all! Don’t hesitate to book this hotel it is truly worth it. I highly recommend it, as it will add so much to your Ubud experience.

I read a few reviews before going commenting on how lovely the staff were and I 100% agree. Everyone is incredibly welcoming and thoughtful. It was the little things that made Metland so beautiful. Every day when we came back to our hotel we had an adorable towel bear or towel dog sitting on our bed. We were collecting wooden ducks and came back to them decorated around a towel duck. Breakfast was also amazing with a huge range of options. We had dinner at the restaurant multiple times and they had a sax player who was absolutely marvellous. The pool was also stunning and the spa top notch. Everything was really well priced. If we felt lazy we could have a golf cart buggy drive us up the hill which was always fun. Being at the resort itself felt like an activity.

The staff were great. The food was reasonably priced.
The pool doesn’t look anything like the photos, the pool was not full to the top so it looked old and not at all like the photos. When house keeping did our room they made a dog out of a wet towel and left it on our bed which made our last stay there not so pleasant with a wet patch on the bed. Not sure if the towel they left on our bed was clean as it was very wet.
