Albergue Alda Pilgrim Ponferrada

Habitación estupenda, cogímos una doble con baño privado, nada que envidiar a cualquier hotel. Personal de recepción muy atenta.

Una de las almohadas olía fatal, como a humedad. Resto todo genial.

La infraestructura muy buena

La atención en recepción deja mucho que desear, debería mejorar la amabilidad al momento de atención al cliente, además estimo que deberían separar el albergue de peregrinos de las personas hospedadas que trabajan a la noche, que a su retorno no dejan descansar a los peregrinos.

I have recently stayed at this hostel in Ponferrada and had a very positive experience overall. One of the aspects I appreciated most was the modern, technology-driven approach. Everything from check-in to check-out is handled electronically through a kiosk within the hostel, making the process quick, efficient, and convenient. The accommodation itself is comfortable and well designed for travellers. The beds provided a good night's sleep, and it was great to have access to a fridge and a small kitchen area with dining tables. These facilities are particularly useful for guests who want to prepare simple meals or store food during their stay. The location is another major advantage. The hostel is very close to the city centre and within easy walking distance of Ponferrada's main landmarks and attractions. It is also situated in a lively area filled with restaurants, bars, pubs, and cafés, giving visitors plenty of options for dining and entertainment throughout the day and well into the evening.

The only significant drawback I noticed was the number of toilets available. Given the number of guests the hostel can accommodate, having only one toilet may not always be sufficient, particularly during busy periods when many guests are preparing for the day at the same time.

I hated the complicated video call reception, especially after a long tiring day. Location bad, a long way from the historic centre, no food, no local restaurants, no communal atmosphere
